The Union confirmed on Monday that they have signed Kai Herdling on loan from 1899 Hoffenheim
ahead of the close of the transfer window on Monday night.

The Union played Costa Rica Primera Division-leading Municipal Perez Zeledon on Sunday, losing
1–0. With no news about the game yet forthcoming from the Union, so far the only information that
can be learned is from an article from Costa Rican news site al Dia that is actually about the
friendship between Josue Martinez and Porfirio Lopez, and a very grainy 59 second video clip posted
on YouTube attributed to Costa Rican soccer website Everardo Herrera.
Becky Sauerbrunn, the former Washington Freedom player and University of Virginia product is
teaming up with her former Freedom coach Jim Gabarra. According to a report by Sentinal, Sauerbrunn
has been signed by Sky Blue FC of the WPS.

Mexico's World Cup qualifying victory clearly shook the US Women's National Team to their core.
On Tuesday night, the US settled the score, reminding Mexico, and the world, that there is still an
enormous gap in class between the two sides. Were at not for some shoddy finishing and a whole lot
of five-alarm defending, the score line could easily have been doubled as the US controlled the
match from the opening whistle and were rarely troubled throughout the 90 minutes.
