David Beckham was told by doctors that he'd have to wait until October 2010 to
make his comeback from the Achilles injury he suffered earlier this year. But Becks being the
stubborn sod that he is, it looks like he'll be back in action for LA Galaxy sooner than
expected.

Some people are just idiots, plain and simple. A drunk LA Galaxy fan was heard taunting David
Beckham after the Galaxy match against the New York Red Bulls and Becks clearly had enough. We all
know that this sort of stuff comes with the territory when you are one of the most high profile
human beings in the world but at the end of the day he is still a human being.
In an article up on the official Los Angeles Galaxy website, long-injured star midfielder
David Beckham says he is targeting the Galaxy's game on September 11th as his
return date to the field.
"The doctors' original date was Oct. 1, but I always kind of said I want to be ready before
then.

Could this week get any worse? We have hit the "push a puppy out of the way" stage of cranky
already and certainly didn't need to see the cover of In Touch magazine's David Beckham + Hooker =
Anger Making Skankocity tag line.
So, in the name of our delicate constitutions, how about we just make a few key points about how
this story is being reported, and then if it's alright, we'll head back to checking if our local
chocolate factory has agreed to let us take up employment?
David Beckham's management company say they are taking legal action against a US magazine which
published claims the former England captain slept with prostitutes. This is a great move by Becks
who something like this definitely effects his family man image.
The company said in a statement the allegations in the weekly In Touch are "completely untrue
and totally ridiculous as the magazine was clearly told before publication.
New York Red Bulls forward Thierry Henry will miss his new side's big match tonight against
David Beckham's LA Galaxy. On paper weeks back the match looked to be the biggest left on the MLS
schedule, but Henry will not dress due to sprained right knee that the Frenchman aggravated a few
weeks back and Beckham is certainly not a guarantee to play 90 minutes tonight either.

This referee may or may not have had his whistle jammed somewhere unpleasant after the game goal
called off.
- He had it coming: a Sam Allardyce gallery. (Guardian)
- Going on the attack with another defender in Barcelona. (Jonathan Wilson)
- Holy football. (In Bed With Maradona)
- Chelsea be clubbin'.
