AC Milan fans get the Armani ad live-show AC Milan are certainly getting their money's-worth out of
David Beckham. Just his second match for the club and he is already performing an on-pitch
striptease. Away from the underwear department, it was another fine display from Becks as he
grabbed an assist in a 3-0 win over Juventus.
So Landon Donovan wants to stay at Everton FC.
The 27-year old LA Galaxy forward has been on loan at Goodison Park since January. He's done
very well, better than just about anybody had anticipated. He now wants to extend the loan, perhaps
permanently.
This makes Donovan a hypocrite in the eyes of many, because he criticized David Beckham for wanting
to do essentially the same thing one year ago.
Continuing our build up to the World Cup 2010, each month we are bringing you a top ten list
provided by the team over at World Cup Odds. This month the topic is World Cup villains, and we
have selected five choices from the World Cup Odds voting to highlight.
Marco Materazzi
Not only was Materazzi one of Italy's heroes through his excellent defensive displays in the
tournament, but he helped the Azzurri take home the world's most coveted prize as he was the
attention of Zinedine Zidane's head.
Erm, is that a foul? Becks bagged his second goal of the season for LA Galaxy in the final game of
the MLS Regular Season (whatever that is). The ex-England skipper fired in from the edge of the box
as his side beat FC Dallas 2-1. His goal did owe a considerable amount to the [...]

"Victoria, you remember when I said how much I admire Tiger Woods? Well..."
Australian magazine Famous (a rag about celebs, natch) has boldly published a cover story about
David Beckham and alleged relationships with 'three other women'.
So this popped up in my inbox this morning, courtesy of Major League Soccer's daily "Newsstand"
email.
Beckham ready for Philly crowd ThursdayBy Marc NarducciPhiladelphia Inquirer – October 5,
2010
After I had cleaned my monitor of the coffee spewed during the resulting spit take, I went looking
for the actual story, because MLS provides the text without a link.
The 10am meeting between Sir Alex Ferguson and David Gill did not take place but you have to
wonder what will be said later today when they do talk.
It appeared as though it was a done deal with City, regardless of Robert Mancini's assertions of
the contrary. The Evening News certainly think this is the most likely outcome but they are
notoriously inaccurate for transfer stories these days.

D-Becks scores against FC Dallas, with a little help from Landon Donovan and a lot of help from
an incompetent/blind referee:
You think that might be a foul by Landy? Yeah, could be. Last time I checked, shoving your
opponent off the ball wasn't really allowed.
If you plan on kidnapping any WAGS, I'm gonna have to go ahead and warn against it. Not just for
the moral and legal problems such an activity would present, but also because now they have this
panic alarm disguised as an iPod that sounds like it would thoroughly ruin any WAG-napping
plans.
MLS's highest-paid player
David Beckham won't likely play this year for the Los Angeles Galaxy, but that doesn't keep him
from being the highest-paid player in the league.
Salaries were released by the MLS Players Union on Monday and Becks topped it with his $6.5
million salary.
Landon Donovan is second at $2.
Hola amigos! Burrito get the biggest interview of his career as a soccer blogging dawg! Si, this is
an interview with the one and only Mister Fake David Beckham! Burrito ax him about Futbol, Mexican
food, underwear, and if it really hurt to be so pretty. But most important, if he really want to
bring MLS back to South Florida.
Davey Becks made his first start back for AC Milan tonight in their 5-2 win over Genoa. Clearly,
the league missed him a great deal.

Los Angeles Galaxy I'm not necessarily a David Beckham fan, I'm more of a
glad-you're-bringing-some-money-to-the-MLS sort of guy. Don't get me wrong, Becks is an absolute
joy to watch and I feel somewhat giddy watching his kicks bend and twist. In addition, I feel
deeply sorry for anyone who goes down with a painful and probably career ending injury.
Everyone is wanting Edson Buddle to get that all important call-up next month for a possible
roster spot on the World Cup team. Today MLSSoccer.com caught up with Buddle's teammate David
Beckham, and Becks believes Buddle deserves a call-up (as do I).
On a day when U.S. Soccer got some great news (more on this in a moment), Major League Soccer
got some expected bad news, David Beckham will miss the entire season.
Beckham tore his Achillies tendon while playing on loan at AC Milan and said today that his
recovery is taking longer than expected and he doesn't expect to be ready to play again until
November at the earliest.
In late 2006 when I heard the Galaxy were pursuing David Beckham I said to
myself, "Yeah, right. Good luck with that." Well, you know how that turned out.
So now I can't help but investigate crazy rumors of Big Name player acquisitions because, well,
you never know.

The cream of the highly-talented/highly hot crop is fading fast, Kickettes, and we're freaking
out. So help us, if we hear anymore bad news bears around the WC, we're throwing in the (stolen)
Mandarin Oriental Hotel towel and moving to Mars.
David Beckham, against doctors instructions decided to knock the ball around a little at an
England World Cup training session in South Africa. In the video English coaches try and tell him
to stop kicking the ball several times but Becks just won't listen. It is so funny to see how he is
like a little kid still and loves the game and the ball so much.

Here it is folks (via a full page Bastille Day ad in the New York Times, thanks Fishkin). The news
we all knew was coming and it is f*cking awesome (unless you are an Irishman with a grudge to
hold). Thierry Henry is coming to MLS, specifically my New York Red Bulls, and there ain't a damn
thing anyone can do about it, not even West Ham.
How about a hand for MLS? Thierry Henry is joining America's first division and I'm anxious to see
him lend his touch to Red Bull New York. Finally, a big-time name playing for a big-time East Coast
city; not much of a head-scratcher if you ask me. Sounds like a solid plan to bring in the fading
French star to a ballclub with a new ballpark in order to generate interest and give the New
Yorkers an identity.
David Beckham's supposed season-ending Achilles tear has now been upgraded to a projected
return in October for the LA Galaxy. The MLS regular season closes for the Galaxy on October 24th
and the MLS Cup is played on November 21st, so Beckham would likely see little action before the
start of the postseason and a potential run at a championship.

Several big names for the world of football turned up at the Imperial War Museum in south London
for the 2010 Military Awards last night – including D-Becks and F-Lamps. We were there too,

This right here? It's a post for our gentleman readers. We know you're out there; we've spoken
to you before. Others of your ilk have also spoken out directly on our website.
Now, lads, we understand that (some of) you may not care to comment about short tents or WAG
fashion (though this photo of Gareth Bale's, uh, situation garnered quite the response on
Twitter).
David Beckham: Before Victoria, Madrid, Armani and LA
Tonight, David Beckham will receive a lifetime achievement award from the BBC. There are few
people that would argue that David Beckham has not achieved a lot in his lifetime. Both on and
off the field, he has left a dent not only on the game but he has also helped to shape the broader
cultural context surrounding the sport.
Warning: watching 90 minutes of the Becks and Borriello show may affect your ability to drive
or operate heavy machinery.

In case you missed our tweet a few days ago, Annamarie Van der Sar is out of intensive care and
doctors say she should fully recover. Wonderful news!
Did you catch the first half of the Champions League games last night?
We did. But we somehow missed the above 2010 Image Of The Year during the goal-fest
between Milan and Manchester United. Thankfully a generous reader brought it to our attention.
It's everything we require in a photo of D-Becks: good hair, good sneer, good grip.

Becks isn't making up the difference...I don't think.
Alexandre Pato is out with a hamstring strain and MAY NOT be able to play against United in the
second leg of their Champion's League Round of 16 matchup. This is a problem for AC Milan because
they need Pato for the Champion's League and the rest of their club season.
Danny Califf has some really nice tattoo work. Dude's got one full sleeve and a second one that I
will call PPL Park because it's under construction but still looks pretty cool. He's also got a few
family pieces on his torso as well that you usually can't see because for whatever reason FIFA
mandates players wear some form of shirt while playing.
Nice idea I saw via the England Team wesbite, run by the charity Keep Your On The Ball, who
raise awareness about prostate and testicular cancer.
The odea is that age old one you have to pick your all time England XI. But there are a couple
of caveats. First off it has to be someone who represented England at the World Cup (seemingly
since 1966, so erm not really All Time then), and second if you want to win Gordon Banks shirt, you
have to pick the same starting XI as Terry Venables, who has picked a special secret XI (revealing
only Banks in goal).
Man Utd is on its USA and Canada tour and are in Chicago at the present moment.
Ryan Giggs just said something that can be considered very, very interesting.
"Becks is probably the biggest footballer worldwide and he's still playing for England's
national team so it's hard not to respect the quality of MLS.

Three years ago the Los Angeles Galaxy were able to haul in the most marketable name in soccer.
Three years later they're sitting atop of the league table – no thanks to David Beckham.
In fact, it almost feels like many people have forgotten that Beckham is under contract for the Los
Angeles Galaxy.

Back in the days when footballers earned next to nothing, made crap records and had haircuts
resembling epileptic puppies, a favourite retirement plan for many was to open a pub in the English
countryside.
Fabio Capello has called time on David Beckham's England career. The 35-year-old is England's
most capped out field player with 115 appearances, and falls 10 short of former England goalkeeper,
Peter Shilton's record of 125.
Without doubt at times Beckham was England's best player and installed a huge sense of pride to a
nation that hasn't not won a major trophy since 1966.

David Beckham was told by doctors that he'd have to wait until October 2010 to
make his comeback from the Achilles injury he suffered earlier this year. But Becks being the
stubborn sod that he is, it looks like he'll be back in action for LA Galaxy sooner than
expected.

Some people are just idiots, plain and simple. A drunk LA Galaxy fan was heard taunting David
Beckham after the Galaxy match against the New York Red Bulls and Becks clearly had enough. We all
know that this sort of stuff comes with the territory when you are one of the most high profile
human beings in the world but at the end of the day he is still a human being.
Bryan Jordan makes Chris Birchall believe that the Space Needle really goes to space.
Not necessarily in that order.
First, the update. For folks who are worried about Chris Birchall's game-ending
first half injury, things are looking up. Sunday afternoon Birchall took to his Twitter account,
@chrisbirchall7, and said, "Thanks everyone.

The latest news and non-news surrounding the Galaxy's Golden Balls:
*But first, the answer to the trivia question I asked in the previous post. And, as one
commenter already deduced, indeed, David Beckham has never played on the artificial turf at Qwest
Field, which should, of course, do his recently-operated upon Achilles tendon a world of good
(ahem).
I can guarantee you that this hidden camera video of David Beckham and a masseuse has nothing to
with Becks coming out of a Thai massage parlor late one night and everything to do with Ellen and
David being bezzie, bezzie mates. This is actually much funnier than I would think it would be.
