What's a prostitute's going rate these days? Calls to Silvio Berlusconi have been unanswered,
and shockingly there's no sort of rolling scale on the FA's official website, so we're left to word
of mouth. Or waiting a few hours and sauntering down to the seedy parts of town to perform
interviews. If it's less than £12m, then Wayne Rooney certainly didn't get value for his pound
with whichever lady of the night he decided to enjoy.
According to French reports, Lionel Messi is the top earning footballer. The French report
determined each players net worth using reports on salaries, endorsements, and bonuses. These
values are estimations, not actual earnings.1. Lionel Messi (Barcelona) £29.6m2. David Beckham (LA
Galaxy/Milan) £27.
It's just a few hours after the final whistle of the final game of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in
South Africa. Spain's players are still getting used to being Champions of the World. After a month
full of soccer day and night, I'm not going through full withdrawal quite yet. Just a little bit of
the shakes so far.
The MLS Players Union has released its annual salary list, putting an exact figure on what every
player in Major League Soccer earns. No surprise that LA Galaxy's David Beckham still tops the list
with a guaranteed annual salary of $6.5, with other Designated Players like New York Red Bulls'
Thierry Henry and Rafa Marquez close behind.

Forbes' inaugural SportsMoney 50-50 list (a system used to rank the 50 most valuable
teams and the 50 most valuable athletes across all world sport) were announced yesterday and,
whilst the individual standings were stacked heavily in favour of American sports stars (NBA
players occupy 14 slots, NFL players 9), there are six footballers that feature in the top 50.
You have to love this absolutely hilarious, and shows that David Beckham has a
funny bone. Not sure how he is able to keep a straight face throughout it, especially with
Ellen Degeneres making wild requests!

Leicester manager Sven-Goran Eriksson recently attempted to sign Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder
David Beckham on brief loan. The second division coach hoped to convince his former Three Lions
captain (from 2001-2006) to join him back in England after a long absence from playing league
football in his homeland since his departure from Manchester United to Real Madrid nearly a decade
ago.
