The infamous moment in Portugal, four years ago.
Oh dear... It doesn't look like it will be Robben's year. The missed penalty against Dortmund,
the fight with Ribery, the crap with Beckenbauer and now the missed penalty against Chelsea in the
CL finals and so many missed shots on target... Add [read more]
23.04.2012 - Gran valor y alto reconocimiento a su entrenador,
Jurgen Klopp, trajo la
Bundesliga (Alemania) ganada el sábado (21.04.2012) por el
Borussia Dortmund.
Nicklas Bendtner in a Danish interview was asked to name his all time favourite eleven, In a
4-3-3 he went with a offensive team. In his younger Arsenal reserve's days N.B-52 on a few
occasions played alongside Ashley Cole and rates the Left-Back very highly, also includes ex
Premier League wing wizard Cristiano Ronaldo.
Lionel Messi registered a record-breaking five goal haul last Wednesday, as a boisterous
Barcelona swept aside a baffled Bayern Leverkusen outfit, to march promptly into the Champions
League Quarter-Finals.
Messi once again exhibited his undeniable quality and complete understanding of the modern game,
bringing to the boil the debate that has simmered under the surface since he adopted Barcelona's
number 10 shirt from the majestic Ronaldinho in 2008.
conociendo.
16.12.2011 - Mas de 40 años pasaron desde que
Nesuhi y
Ahmet Ertegun (dueños
de Atlantic Records) fundaran la franquicia
"Cosmos" (New York Cosmos) y pasaron 36 desde
Kenny Dalglish is one of Liverpool's most successful managers, and is one of only three managers to
win the league with two different teams. Liverpool fans would almost certainly argue that the King
is a World Class manager, but former Leicester City and Blackburn Rovers midfielder Robbie Savage
is not so sure.
Stick or Twist: Kenny's Dilemma...
So everyone's fit. Which way will Kenny turn? It's not as impossible as picking a Rafa selection
but here goes... Pepe will distribute like Beckenbauer from the back. Ahem. Right back is a big,
big call. Dalglish considers his best right full to be Glen Johnson but Martin Kelly is the man in
possession and has done little wrong.

So here it is. The first non-youth team that will don the colors of the fabled NY Cosmos since the
Reagan administration. What do you think? There's some great old names there like Fabio Cannavaro,
Brian McBride and Brad Friedel but there's quite a lot of young blood from the academy.
Sure, they'll most likely be sacrificial lambs for Paul Scholes' going out party but hey, there are
worst things to achieve as a young American soccer player than playing alongside Patrick Vierea and
Gary Neville against Manchester United at Old Trafford wearing the same kit that Pele & Beckenbauer
wore.
This week in Soccer History: Franz "Kaizer" Beckenbauer, May 29 1977

This week, on May 29th 1977, Franz "Kaizer" Beckenbauer joins the New York Cosmos versus the Tampa
Rowdies.
Super Star title in the world of football should not be used a lot, and in my opinion, should be
given very conservatively with players such as Platini, Cruyff, Zidane, Ronaldo1, Beckenbauer,
Bobby Charlton .......
Messi at the age of 23, going to another country for the intention of playing against their team,
but then missing the game because of light injury, and still ending up by a hero, with so many
people asking for his autograph.
What do you get when you cross an eccentric, former footballer turned aspiring actor, with a
footy team whose glory years have long since been relegated to the history books? The return of
the New York Cosmos?
A new Frenchman has landed in the Big Apple and if past experience is anything to go by, he
intends to take the New York Cosmos to the top of the football ladder.
Qatar winning the World Cup 2022 bid sparked so much controversy in the world media and blogs. Now,
Blatter recent comments that he expects WC 2022 to be held in January will even spark more
controversy. I predict people will say, why FIFA is changing the World Cup rule if the conditions
of a country is not suitable to host a World Cup in the first place?
