With his contribution key to the Galaxy making the playoffs, Beck's Milan departure raises fewer
eyebrows. He will play his first Serie game on January 6th and if all goes as planned, he will join
the Galaxy after the World Cup.
I am of the camp that the criticism which he received on his return was fully deserved.

So FIFA vice-president Jack Warner has come out and had a bit of a pop at our attempt to hold
the World Cup. He said that not only was the bid lightweight, but he was really impressed by
Australia, who gave him a goody bag with Australia 2018 tat in it. Apparently, this could swing the
bid. I quote Warner (Via The Guardian):

the ball]with a testimonial match at Tampa Stadium. A crowd of 20,655 turned out at Tampa Stadium
on a Friday night to get their last look at the Rowdies' star on the pitch.

So, MLS has decided to fine David Beckham a whopping $1,000 for taking the bait from jeering fans
and exchanging words and gestures with what appeared to be a less-than-gentlemanly nature.
I for one am glad to see this kind of passion coming from these MLS fans, who care enough about
their club to be bothered by the way Beckham has disrespected the Galaxy over the past year.

Well, it's not time to wrap up the whole tournament yet, but at least everything that happened
since the opening match against Spain. In short: Germany made it to the final (against England)
after beating Finland (2-0), drawing England (1-1) and beating Italy (1-0). Following the good
performance against Spain it wasn't a completely unthinkable outcome.
