Reached at his home in England noted author and former hooligan Dougie Brimson had this to say to
MLSR regarding the incidents in Columbus at the friendly vs West Ham:
"Whilst incredibly unfortunate, to be honest, news of this incident hardly comes as a shock.
English fans on pre-season tours abroad have a history of becoming involved in trouble and when you
have a club with a sizable travelling support, it is inevitable that there will be those amongst
their number looking to kick off some kind of confrontation.
TOR reader Jeff K sent me some video of footage he gathered from the belly of the Sam's Army beast on Sunday. Recognize anyone?
Otherwise, I have no idea how he keeps getting left out of the US national team at this point. He's
been an absolute BEAST in recent weeks in MLS, but doesn't get called up. Somehow, being Eddie
Johnson is enough to keep getting called up, it doesn't matter how he actually performs in
games.

would that be a problem for Tottenham fans? The chances of Real Madrid and former Arsenal attacking
midfielder Julio 'The Beast' Baptista Lining up at White Hart Lane on the 10th of August look
promising.

Fiorentina had the French "Lion" almost tamed. In their nth rendez-vous with top European
football (since the 2001-02 season, OL have won 7 consecutive Ligue 1 championships), Lyon started
the match at ferocious pace, but after a couple whip-cracks by Alberto Gilardino (coupled with an
almost flawless Viola defence) the beast had stopped roaring.
Advertising is a complex beast, something i know all too well these days. The invention of the
internet has revolutionised how you market a product and a brand, and how you can thus create a
romantic lifestyle image for the public to buy into. However, I can catagorically tell you as an
industry professional that the following is an example of exactly how not to go about things.

Predicting results at Euro 2008 is about as useful as a chocolate teapot (I had
the Dutch to beat Portugal in the final and look where that got me) but the Spanish midfield duo of
Cesc Fabregas and Marcos Senna may be enough for people to take a
punt on Spain finally winning a major trophy.
Los Angeles is in turmoil. After a devastating last-second loss to last-place San Jose, the wheels
are coming off.
What to do? Someone has to be made an example of...
So many stars. So much attention. Yet only a 6-8-5 record, a 6-game winless streak and a pedestrian
fourth-place in the Western Conference to show for it.

AS Roma. Its a signing that gives me some relief after loosing Mancini earlier this summer to
Inter. So we lost a Brazilian and regained one at summers end. This signing should medicate my
senses after the 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Tottenham this week.
Ok, so in case you didn't know this already: Julio Baptista is now a Roma player. With Totti
bi***ing and moaning about how Roma were a 4th-rank team back in July, Daniele Pradè and Bruno
Conti moved their asses and flew over to Madrid to get The Beast. Now at least (and according to
their captain) the Giallorossi [.

estimated 4.5 million euro per season. "The Beast" has spent time in both La Liga and the
Premier League, but this will be his first time playing in Serie A.
