The top-seeded Missouri State men's soccer team (9-7-2, 5-1-0 MVC) played its way into the 2011
State Farm Missouri Valley Conference championship match with a 2-0 shutout of Drake at Morrison
Stadium in Omaha, Neb., on Friday afternoon. With their second win in as many games over the
Bulldogs, the Bears will now face No.
The Woodland Park Zoo and Seattle Sounders teamed up have some animals play with soccer balls.
Who doesn't like big cats, wolves, bears and a miniture donkey with the game we love?

Oh, and go to the zoo as an adult some time. I went with my dad over the summer and it was a
cool way to remember youth, but learn some stuff.
The District tournament will be held at Dixon High School, with semifinal games scheduled for
October 31st and November 1st. The Final will be on November 3rd. The Crocker Lions are the
defending 2 time champions, losing to Catholic in the next round.

For the second time in the season's first three games, the Northern Colorado women's soccer
program found itself involved in an overtime match.
This time however, even with the extra 20 minutes added on, neither team could find a goal, as
the Bears (0-2-1) and Jacksonville (1-1-1) finished with a 0-0 draw.
Battling the rain and a determined opponent, the University of Denver finally found a winner
against the University of Northern Colorado in the second period of extra time in the second game
of the inaugural Colorado Cup late Friday.
DU prevailed in the opener for both teams at the Pioneers' CIBER Field when Nicholette
DiGiacomo's flick was punched into the back of the net by Kristen Hamilton in the 109th minute.

The men's programs at Missouri State and Drury have gotten together to host a series of Spring
matches the next two weekends at their respective pitches.
This Saturday, April 2nd, the Missouri State Bears play host at Plaster Stadium.
Game Schedule:
1:00 pm Missouri State vs Mid-America Nazerene
2:45 pm – Drury vs NEO A&M
4:30 pm – Drury vs Mid-America Nazarene
6:15 pm – Missouri State vs NEO A&M
Next weekend, Drury will play host and Crowder College and Benedictine (KS) will be on hand at
Harrison Stadium to each play against Missouri State and Drury.
I really wanted to post a link to this story on it's own rather than link it in the comments
section of a particular post since I think it really illustrates why the supporter's culture in
soccer is different than the fan culture of the "big four" sports in the US.
