The first couple of days of the Beach Soccer World Cup have delivered quite a lot of tits and ass
action... as you can now see by the new thumbnail gallery feature I've finally enabled... yay me!
Anyway, I've even thrown in a highlight of last nights humiliating 8-1 drubbing ...
Do you remember the Cheerleaders of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Marseille 2008? Well the 2009
version of them came out during the Summer of 2009 for the Euro Beach Soccer League (Euro BS League
or EBSL). In case you didn't know, it's an annual European competition in beach soccer that allows
national teams [.
I believe that it is absolutely key for the Rowdies to do some grassroots, innovative marketing to
be successful. They have decided to resurrect the Rowdies' name and associate themselves with the
NASL team.
Take a look at what DC United of MLS is doing to promote their US Open Cup final showdown with
Seattle Sounders FC.
Actually, the title of this post may be a bit misleading since I do recall reading a recent
Offside blog post where the author claimed to know nothing about soccer in St. Louis except "the
spanking hot Hope Solo." Anyhooo, our Fearless Leader™ is having a training camp next week with
the usual suspects plus a few of the current NCAA Div 1 standouts.

The recent swine flu scare has been weighing heavy on everyone's minds lately. People have been
advised to avoid public places if possible and stay indoors. For the people of Mexico City this
head has been taken very seriously.
As a precaution to the spread of the flu virus officials of the Mexican First Division have
decided that this weekend games will be played without fans.
Below are the pics Crocs and I took at the Beach Soccer event in Oceanside, California on
Sunday!

The Xtreme Soccer League announced today that Rookie of the Year and Milwaukee Wave player
Marco Terminesi has signed a contract with the Minnesota Thunder of USL-1 and will join the team
this week.
Terminesi, 24, is a native of Woodbridge, Ontario. He comes off a season in which he scored 52
points for the Wave, second in the XSL.
Tati Rossi is proudly sporting her JMS Academy Training top at one of her local soccer fields in
Oceanside, California! Her Dad is the legendary Coach Gino on Twitter and runs one of the best
beach soccer tournaments in the country called the Southern California Beach Soccer
Championships!
I'm preparing for my first two-week vacation in three years, so there's no column today.
I'll return next Tuesday with a review of the forthcoming Spanish-language futbol movie "Rudo Y
Cursi," which opens May 8 in L.A., and a look at soccer movies in general.
A couple of items of note to pass along:
*CONCACAF this morning announced it was postponing indefinitely the region's Beach Soccer
Championship scheduled to begin Wednesday in Puerto Vallarta due to the spread of swine flu in
Mexico.

This week's guest on the Jared Montz Soccer Podcast is John Krause of the Puerto Rico
Islanders. John plays center back for the Islanders and helped lead them on their dream run in
the CONCACAF Champions League tournament. Unfortunately the team was defeated in the semi finals
in an absolute nail biter!

tour)
This week's guest on the Jared Montz Soccer Podcast is Leonard Griffin of the LA Galaxy.
Leonard (Leo) is an excellent player who has been around professional soccer for about 6 years
now.
I'm a bit overwhelmed with the soccer available this weekend, and excited.
The only live soccer I'll be seeing was this morning, when the West End Terrorists (Jacob's team,
though they now only use their name privately and on the team sheet are just, 'West End') won their
second indoor game 8:2, against the Feral Rats.
The spectacle that was the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup came to a close tonight in Dubai and I
learnt two things by being at the match... a) The Swiss should stick to making watches, chocolates
and secretive bank accounts and b) no matter what country, weather or terrain, ...

Soccer - Summer is fast approaching and it is time for beach soccer
adjournments. Next week there will be the a tournament here in Oceanside California which follows
by another one in San Diego and many more to come across country.
But Sand gets hot when you play on it in summer time also you never know what kinda things you
can step on that is why there is Sand soccer socks.
Saturday was a great day at the beach in Oceanside, California! Crocs and I walked around all
day and said hello to everyone we could! I wanted to get the pictures up as soon as possible so
you can enjoy them! I promise a more formal blog post and video telling the story of the weekend
will be coming soon!
Sorry it took a day or two to get the rest of the Saturday pictures up! Crocs was very popular
so I have a lot of pics!!
Just like last time if you see your picture feel free to right click on it and then save it to
your computer for Free!
Shannon Boxx and I pose for a pic with crocs!
A few weeks ago before I left my beach soccer trip in Oceanside, California I interviewed Mitch
Day of the English Beach Soccer National Team on MontzTV. Mitch is a great guy and will be
sporting some Jared Montz Soccer gear this week at the European Beach Soccer World Cup qualifiers
in Spain!
Hector Reynosa of Club Gualdajara uses Sebastian Penco of Chile's Everton as a spittoon. The
Chilean media saw this as a way of intimidating players using the threat of swine flu. Reynosa
later apologized but said he was reacting to taunts calling him "a leper."
Its quite graphic but it tell us that swine flu fears are causing havoc with soccer matches all
across Latin and Central America with clubs like Boca Juniors expressing concern about traveling to
Mexico to meet SLP in the Copa Libertadores.
On Wednesday of this week I am flying to Oceanside, California to be a special guest at the
Southern California Beach Soccer Championships! One of the people behind this great event is Gino
Rossi. He and I met via Twitter (follow him @BeachSoccer) a few months ago and got to talking
soccer and next thing you know I am on my way to California for the 2nd largest beach soccer event
in the country!
Part 2 of Jimmy interview...I ask Jimmy about his post playing career, TV, Radio. How much longer
he thinks he will play. He talks about the possibility of coaching as well. Talks about Preki and
his coaching. Jimmy discusses Coach Zavagnin and giving him a hard time.Look for Jimmy on Fox
Soccer Channel and his Beach Soccer color commentary.

When I was in Oceanside, California a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to meet Alex Kotler
who runs his own company called Football Partnerships. He was a cool guy and he has a pretty
sweet Football (soccer) business to business type social network thing going. As a business
person I am now a fan and I stay up to date with the great information he is putting out.
Even if you didn't necessarily need it, it's definitely nice to be reminded of why exactly you
chose to devote unscrupulous time, love, thought, and effort towards something so supplementary and
perhaps even pointless, depending on your worldview. I'm afforded these moments almost daily on a
wide-scale level with sports (see above picture), but as my mania is dominated around the
(traditionally) white ball with a dozen black pentagons (and the brown grooved ball with black trim
- probably more so), Chelsea-Inter at the Rose Bowl a turn of the moon ago was about as good a
reminder as could possibly be received stateside.
CSKA coach Luboslav Penev suspended a bunch of players on the team recently for late-night
partying.
Then the team went over his head and reinstated the guys.
Penev subsequently resigned and the team is not honoring it.
Craziness.

The FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup kicks off today on Jumeirah Beach and I'm going to be heading down
there as often as I can to get in on it. Having to 'work for the man' means I don't get the
pleasure of being able to frolic around Dubai chasing ...
Monday 16th November
19:45 Coleraine v Glenavon, IFA Premiership, Sky Sports 1 & HD1
Not much to talk about this week. The last knockings of World Cup qualifying is underway with
precious little local interest. So instead, Sky have wheeled out this rare gem from Northern
Ireland.
Tuesday 17th November
19:45 Northern Ireland v Czech Republic, U21 International , Sky Sports 1& HD1
This is a European Championship Qualifier.

Oh yeah, and beach soccer.
Another action packed day at the Jumierah beach soccer stadium and another day when I think my
obsessive fascination with cheer leaders has reached crisis level. I would sound the alarm, but
there's still 4 days left in this tournament, so I ain't pulling the plug just yet! Teams to ...
There's nothing new here. Brazil will take home another world title in the beach football. This
Sunday in Dubai, Brazil beat Switzerland 10 5 in the final and won its 4 title in a row. In 5
editions of the World Cup, Brazil did not win only the first one in 2005.
I think very soon no one will invite Brazil to play beach football.
Uruguayan beach soccer player, you have lost my respect.
Or that dude's scream does some damage.
