Somehow, I missed the fact that the United States failed to qualify for the Beach Soccer World Cup.
I didn't even get a chance to join the howling mob that undoubtedly stoned the team at the airport
on its return from the unsuccessful campaign. Still, it's never too late for a moment of national
reflection.
The FIFA 2008 Beach Soccer tournament is underway in Marseille France. The US Team didn't
qualify this year but Mexico and El Salvador are representing CONCACAF along with Brazil, Argentina

Here in London, England, it's another balmy sunny Sunday afternoon where just for once the sky is
blue and the mercury in my thermometer is rising close to 29 degrees. If you close your eyes and
