One of Southend's most popular beaches has lost its prestigious 'Blue Flag' status.
Three Shells Beach - on the west side of the Pier - will no longer fly the flag, because inspectors
found it did not achieve the highest quality in water, facilities, safety, environmental education
and management criteria.
