On top of his BBC Sports Personality of the Year award, Ryan Giggs was today given the Freedom of the City of Salford. And quite right too. The Manchester United winger joins previous recipients of the honour such as Nelson Mandela, LS Lowry and David Lloyd George. A few photos of Giggsy getting his medal and big certificate below:
