BBC Radio Five Live is reporting that Kaka is set to finalize a deal to join Real Madrid. I'd love
to see the current odds on C. Ronaldo and/or Ribery ending up there as well. If I were a gambling
man, I might toss a few bucks on a Ronaldo/Ribery signing parlay.
Meanwhile, what do fans of Milan, Bayern and Manchester United think of new/old Real president
Florentino Perez swooping in for their stars.
Interesting revelations by former United and Scotland goal keeper, Jim Leighton, this
week.
In an interview with BBC Radio Five Live, Leighton revealed Ferguson was close to becoming
manager of the Gunners in the summer of 1986. Leighton says Ferguson was offered the job, along
with George Graham as his assistant, and had actually agreed he would take charge, but wanted to
wait until after the World Cup in Mexico before making any official announcements.
