BBC News and Sky News are reporting that American Robbie Rogers has signed a deal with Leeds
United of England's Championship. The 24 year old winger has been capped 18 times by the United
States National Team and most recently played for the Columbus Crew in MLS. This isn't Rogers'
first signing with a European club.
So Long Timmy! The long-running transfer saga involving New York Red Bulls central defender
Tim Ream appears to have finally come to an end this afternoon, with the BBC reporting that Bolton
Wanderers have secured a UK work permit. There had been considerable doubt about Ream's
qualifications for a visa, as he had only played in a total of two competitive fixtures for the US
Men's National Team.
When Arsenal brought club legend Thierry Henry back for a short loan spell, they probably
thought he would provide a morale boost for the squad and impart a bit of wisdom to the youngster.
In addition to that, the 34-year-old striker has actually been a spark on the pitch and scored two
match-winning goals to keep Arsenal alive in the FA Cup and propel them into fourth place in the
Premier League.
It looks all but confirmed by the Arsenal website. We are always sceptical because of that fact but
the likes of Bild (reliable German newspaper), Times (reliable English newspaper), Sky Sports
(decently reliable), BBC Sports (reliable) have all confirmed such a signing and you must think
‘Surely it's true'.

The doctors who treated stricken Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba have revealed that he was

More "lies"? Rangers co-administrators, Paul Clark and David Whitehouse have been relatively
normal in at least one aspect of their Ibrox operations. Wherever there are co-administrators, one
dominant personality emerges. When insolvency practitioners such as Andrew Andronikou (Portsmouth)
and Brendan Guilfoyle (Plymouth) are involved, these dominant personalities tend to be.

Liverpool legend Alan Hansen believes that Spurs are in with a great chance of winning the league
this season, but argued that their title credentials are about to severely tested.Speaking to the
BBC, Hansen seemed very enthusiastic about Spurs' chances of winning their first Premier League
title.
Anfield legend Alan Hansen believes Jordan Henderson should be exempt from the criticism that is
increasingly being levelled against Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish's summer signings. Speaking to
the BBC earlier today, Hansen expressed concern about the performances of Stewart Downing and Andy
Carroll, but he was upbeat about the former Sunderland midfielder.
When Mike Ashley honored the 120-year heritage of St James' Park by changing its name to the
Sports Direct Arena in February this year, a number of Magpies fans were angered by the
sportswear-selling antics of their club owner.
Supporter Michal Atkinson was so angry that he spray-painted "St James" on the wall where the
stadium's famous moniker was once emblazoned.
It has been a frustrating season for U.S. international midfielder Stuart Holden, who has had to
face another long-term injury while trying to build on his early success in the Premier League.
That injury has not changed his stature as one of Bolton's more important, personable players,
though.

I get the impression that many people who read blogs have very short attention spans. Therefore
rather than writing a long piece on Arsenal's 2011/2012 season I have instead generated a word
cloud that describes the season gone by. The word cloud has been generated from all of Arsenal's
match reports from the 2011/2012 season that were published on the BBC website.
BBC Sport Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger unhappy after loss to Fulham.
Over the past year or so, football experts have taken a shot at trying to troubleshoot
Arsenal's predisposition to losing games which they had already had won. Many comments focused on
the squad's lack of defensive strength but I have a different take on the problem
It's not the defenders that cause Arsenal's fragility, it's the attitude of the manager who
almost never holds his players accountable for their mistakes, blames everyone else around him when
they lose, and so consequently, his players have no fear.
Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson has claimed that Liverpool are very close to sealing a deal to sign
Aston Villa striker Darren Bent.Speaking on BBC Radio 5 last night prior to Liverpool's game with
Man City, Lawrenson told Mark Pougatch that there were 'massive rumours' in Liverpool that the deal
to bring Bent to Anfield was 'already done'.

The hunt for Arlo White's replacement ends with Kasey Keller announced as the analyst and Ross

BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson reckons Thierry Henry won't find the net in another competitive game for

Here's Alan Pardew's interview with the BBC after today's excellent 1-0 win against QPR. The good
news is that it seems Yohan Cabaye will be okay, but he was annoyed about the tackle made on

It seems that a lot of people are not talking about football these days. Whether it be racism,
gayism (ok not sure if that's an actual word) or other outrageous incidents not even related to the
beautiful game. Here are a few things which I think should be brought back/or removed to help bring
the English game back to the glory days of the 90s.

Sir Alex Ferguson didn't hold back in his assessment of Luis Suarez in his post-match interview
with the BBC:
"Suarez is a disgrace to Liverpool Football Club. He should not be allowed to play for Liverpool
again. He could have caused a riot.
How are the supporters of a football club to judge a new owner? Perhaps the answer to that is
the question of how desperate for a new owner they are, but even in the most extreme of
circumstances, one common theme of recent years has been that supporters have been more prepared to
carry out their own due diligence on those that turn up, out of the blue, promising to repair their
clubs.
It is about to go from bad to worse for a number of players at Rangers FC.
With the outlook of the near future looking bleak after the club was forced to go into
administration, Rangers players are meeting with union officials to explore their possibilities in
anticipation of numerous cuts.
It is being widely reported that arsenal have settled a deal with Koln to sign their prolific
striker Lukas Podolski, and even the BBC and the Guardian have reported it so I am very inclined to
think it is true. At 10.9 million Pounds it certainly looks like Arsene Wenger could have got
himself yet [.
The BBC are reporting that Newcastle have recalled 19 year-old midfielder Haris Vuckic from his
loan at Cardiff City. Haris Vuckic recalled by Newcastle His initial month's loan deal was up
last Saturday, and there was news that the loan would be extended to the end of the season, but
it looks like that's not going to happen now.

Patrick Vieira launched a bizarre attack on Manchester United last week, claiming we must be
desperate to bring Paul Scholes out of retirement and that we wouldn't have lost our young stars,
like Ravel Morrison, in the past. In just the few months since Scholes returned, he's already
scored more goals than he did last season, and Morrison getting shipped off to a Championship club
where he doesn't get a game after we didn't offer him a new contract is hardly "losing out" on our
young players.

Welp, just over one week left. Two match days remaining. The 2011-12 Season carriage will soon
turn into a pumpkin at the stroke of 5pm GMT Sunday, May 13.
How do you see things shaking out? After using the BBC's pretty darn cool predictor, I see us
splitting our remaining two matches to finish a respectable ninth.

On Saturday night, a chap by the name of Robin Cooper made it onto BBC Five Live's 606 phone-in
and claimed that he had in his possession the Champions League Final matchball after smuggling out
of the Allianz Arena after the game and that he was going to get it home through German customs by
labelling it as 'seismology equipment' a yarn that had host Alan Green appearing to believe every
word.
Rodgers' appointment is imminent according to the BBC and Liverpool Echo, although we're still
waiting for confirmation from the club.
