I have no verdict on Klinsmann yet, but I have splashed some thoughts in the comments area. In
short, I'm not exactly thrilled and the reasons have nothing to do with score-lines.
What seems to surface time and again, is the notion that the national team player pool "is
what it is".
While I still think no one comes close to Indonesian football for cack handedness Thailand is
running it a pretty close second.
Notionally the Thais have three up, three down between the Thai Premier League and Division One. So
have a look at the new names in the upcoming season that begins next month.
There is a Thai FA Cup this year but unless you actually live at the Football Association of
Thailand offices in the Supachalasai Stadium, following it is a lesson in futility and the current
floods in Bangkok won't make things any easier.

I'm a sucker for Fantasy Games that have more of a luck than skill aspect. March Madness is one
of my favorite times of year, even though I don't watch NCAA Men's BB until Championship week.
The US Open Cup bracket presents a perfect opportunity for a pick'em bracket where both soccer
die-hards and casual fans could potentially be on equal footing picking winners for each match
given previous history of low-level upsets and the winner not always being the best team in MLS at
the time (sorry fellow Sounders fans, that's true for the past two years).

It's time to pick a winner for the most recent edition of You Write the Caption. We received nearly
200 entries, though the quality of comedy wasn't up to the standard of past YWTC. We'll chalk that
up to rust from not having had a You Write the Caption in months.
