Well, we warned you...
Allow your club to be quasi-owned by #####################################, with a
######################################## businessman as chief executive, an extraordinary
renditioning self-interested warmonger as chairperson, an inept manager whose former team, in
Reality, would have finished trailed off at the bottom of last years' Premier League had it not
been for the handicapping of the competition, and a club agent who combines professional
deficiencies with rather too much interest in the betting markets, and this is what you get.

Manchester United along with Arsenal have fairly straightforward groups and both should be
looking to come out on top.
Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal. If you ever needed a tip for picking a winner
for the Champions League this year, you don't need to look any farther than these four clubs. Out
of the final eight teams left, four of them come from the English Premier League; no matter how
you look at that stat, [.
This installment of the Annual Rankings brings us to 1987. In the final rankings for 1987, a
European club returns to the top of the rankings, though it was not the European Cup champion. That
title belonged to the runners up in the Portuguese Liga, Porto, who defeated Bayern Munich 2-1 in
the finals in Vienna by scoring two late goals to overcome a 0-1 halftime deficit.

FC Bayern Munchen-1 v Werder Bremen-1 FC Bayern walked into the pitch seeking revenge for their 5-2
drubbing under Werder Bremen from last season's encounter. 69,000 Munich supporters packed the
Allianz Arena to witness this early season clash between two German football heavyweights. FC
Bayern were clearly dominating possesion and produced more chances until the [.
Wow!!!
I know that I haven't been to all of the great football stadiums of Europe, very few as a matter
of fact, but I have a hard time believing that there possibly could be a better place to watch a
football match in the world than Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. I was blown away.
Now, to be sure, the experience could have been much greater.

The most interesting match of tomorrows round of the Champions League has to be the clash between
Juventus Torino and Bayern Munchen. Why is it so important? First of all these two teams have great
history in the competition, Juve have won the competition 2 times, 1985 and 1996, and Bayern won it
no less than 4 times: 1974, 1975, 1976 and 2001.

As we head to the end of the season in most of Europe and some of the Western Hemisphere, the
weekend television schedule becomes a little off-kilter. A primary reason for this is that, to
avoid "cheating" and to keep things "fair," many leagues have all of their matches played at the
exact same time during the final week or two of the season.

As seems to be common, the week following an international break sort of works as a slow start
back into the stream of futbol. The great matches don't start until the Champions League picks up
on Tuesday. Most clubs are back in action this weekend, but there aren't any marquee matchups to
talk about.
With UEFA Champions League 2009-2010 match day 5 now over, the majority of clubs know their
fate. In another interesting two days of football, some of Europe's biggest names are in danger of
slipping out of the competition. Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munchen and Real Madrid are just a
few.
Defeats for Manchester United, Juventus, Lyon, Inter Milan and Sevilla prove how tight the group
stages are.
