Maschen.
Grant Wahl's book The Beckham Experiment which is a masterpiece of sports
writing also brings up the troubling subject of Landon Donovan and his continued lack of maturity.
Wahl doesn't characterize it as such, but I have no choice but to see it as such.
As our readers know, I love Landon Donovan as a player.
The Manchester United will be the next contender of Bayern Munich who won against the
Italian team AC Milan; it was a great win for the German formation of Monaco because they scored a
great 4-1 to the Italian team. All in all it resembles the 1999 Championship League final. In the
lately match Bayer scored early, and Thomas Muller finished off one strong attack AC Milan was
unable to stop and avoid.
The home side Finland know that a victory over Euro 2008
semi-finalists Russia will take them into the crucial second spot in group four.
The two teams look likely to be battling it out for second spot, with European heavyweights
Germany top of the group and seemingly all but qualified for the finals.

After ten years at the club, it seems that Sami Hyypia will be leaving Liverpool to join Bayer
Leverkusen this summer. The news has been reported on the German club's website and comes as
confirmation of what has been rumoured for quite some time.
It will be sad to see the Finn leave as he is a legend at this club but he deserves to be playing
more regularly and hopefully he will be back at Anfield on the coaching staff in the future.

It took a couple game, but Cristiano Ronaldo is now in top form. He scored inside a minute and
added a second in a 5-0 win against Xerez. And Real Madrid is scoring goals in bunches (who needs
defense when you're scoring five goals a game, right?).

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has described Sami Hyypia as a colossus as the Finnish defender

The 35-year-old Hyypia will make his 464th appearance for the club against Tottenham Hotspur on
Sunday before moving to Bundesliga team Bayer Leverkusen.
Mittelfeld versanken.
Potential Arsenal target Tranquillo Barnetta is strongly being linked with the Gunners' after
asking to leave Bayer Leverkusen. The 24-year-old versatile winger, who has made 27 appearances for
Switzerland, scoring 6 times - has previously been touted to join Arsenal with the former St.
Gallen star's drawing comparisons to Freddie Ljungberg.
Sami Hyypia called the curtain down on an illustrious decade of service at Liverpool recently, and
will embark on one last footballing voyage - to Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen.
It is a move that has brought with it countless tributes, and club legend Ian Rush believes the
Finn is deserving of any accolade.

It happens very occasionally (in fact this is the first time it's happened this season) and when it
does I either have to front up and pretend it never happened or 'fess up and admit that it has. I
am, of course, talking about missing the Bundesliga highlights on TV. I won't go into the whys and
wherefores of the circumstances behind my missing the programme for fear of turning this blog into
a rant about Setanta's Scheduling Team.
The Bundesliga title race is still going to the wire as Wolfsburg, Bayern and Hertha all grabbed
wins tonight.

Reports
Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia will bid farewell to Anfield when his contract expires in the
summer, and will head to the Bundesliga, where he will line up for Bayer Leverkusen. Many on
Merseyside will mourn the centre-back's departure including club manager Rafa Benitez.
"Yes, I think Liverpool are losing a legend," the Spaniard told the club's official website.
Didn't loyalty used to go a long way? I know, not with players who immediately leave clubs when
they smell two Euros more at another one. Okay, there a few exceptions of course, Lukas Podolski
for instance who returns to his love FC Cologne or Robert Enke who does not want to transferred
away from Hannover but should and therefore has to.
Guerrero.

Well, the Business-Punchinellos in the Bundesliga management decided before that season that it
would be a great idea to bring back the 1991 abrogated relegation play-off games, meaning that the
16th of the Bundesliga plays the 3rd of the 2nd Bundesliga in back-to-back matches. We now get
treated with soccer-istical dainties such as Cottbus against Nuremberg.
