Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed that they are interested in re-signing Michael
Ballack after the German midfielder was released by Chelsea earlier in the week.
Although the Bundesliga club are keen to bring Ballack back to the BayArena, the club's
sporting director Rudi Voller has admitted that his side will have to remain
pragmatic about their chances;
"I don't want to make it a secret when a player like Michael Ballack with his history with us,
is on the market, then we think about him.
Michael Bradley's Evil Twin: Michael Frontzeck.
While Tuesday's matches featured quite a few David vs. Goliath no-contests, Wednesday's games
promise to be a lot more competitive. The second round pits quite a few Bundesliga teams against
eachother, and none of them want to be the amongst the first sides knocked out.

Quelle: Youtube (Usre:

upside down.
Liverpool are being challenged in a potential race to sign Brazilian winger Renato Augusto.
The Bayer Leverkusen winger started his career at homeland Flamengo, joining the club's youth
system in 2001 and making his senior debut in 2005. After three years and 89 appearances for Mengo,
the Bundesliga club would pay an undisclosed fee in the region of €10 for Augusto's services.
Borussia Dortmund extended their lead at the top of the Bundesliga thanks to a 2-1 win at Freiburg
in a dramatic match at the Dreisam Stadion. Both Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich lost further
ground on the runaway league leaders Dortmund as they shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the
BayArena.
