Goals of the week: Giornata 7

The Offside: Italy 06 October @ 04:03 PM EST

Sorry I didn't get up a weekend round-up yesterday, it was a really busy day. However I don't want to disrupt the weekly order so I'll go straight to Goals of the Week. Last week was probably the worst goals of the week post of all time. I think this week made up for it with some quality strikes.

Pasión Albiceleste 02 October @ 05:27 PM EST

Javier Zanetti

1998 World Cup.

From one of the most unforgettable Argentina-England games. A well practiced free kick play, brilliantly executed by Batistuta, Veron and el Pupi Zanetti.

Bio of a talented South American footballer – The G.Diss Report

WDKF | Qualified Football Arm Chair Managers Slash Pundits 24 July @ 02:20 PM EST
With all the big money being spent by The Citizens and R.Madrid, I thought it would be interesting to write from the view of a poor but talented South American footballer. Many have gone through this, including some of the greatest players thats ever graced the world stage, such as Ronaldo, Batistuta, Alfredo Di Stefano. Click to continue reading...

Gabriel Batistuta Yeniden Boca Juniors'da....

Jesus Almeyda 10 July @ 05:06 PM EST
The Traitor Giuseppe Rossi

I'm frustrated enough to post this picture again. I knew this was going to happen. You know, I really thought it would be a little different when he scored, a little classier. Maybe I was asking for too much. Then I thought about it some more, and I don't think I was wrong in expecting a little more from him.

Mauro Zarate taking Serie A by storm

The Offside: Italy 30 September @ 01:50 PM EST

Maradona, Caniggia, Sensini, Balbo, Chamot, Simeone, Redondo, Batistuta, Crespo, Veron. The list of great Argentinian players to grace the pitches of Serie A can go on and on. And pretty soon we might have to add another name to the list: Mauro Zarate. The 21 year old striker is on fire, leading the Serie A scoring charts with 6 goals in the first 5 games and giving defenders nightmares.

video La gran final Copa America 1993 Mexico Argentina

Futblog 04 July @ 04:00 PM EST
Click to continue reading...

Video of the Week: Last Day Scudetto Antics

The Offside: Italy 16 May @ 01:41 PM EST

I decided, since this weekend Inter and Roma play crucial games on the last day of the season to decide the Scudetto, to post two videos of what happened to both teams the last time they were in the same situation. (Having to win on the last day to win the Scudetto)

The last time Inter had to win on the last day was the infamous 5 Maggio 2002 (Sorry Inter fans).

Hasta El Gol Siempre 20 December @ 08:58 PM EST
In the last hour or so, it's been confirmed that Miguel Angel Russo has parted company with Boca Juniors, leaving the club's managerial post vacant. Earlier in the day, the Boca board had taken the decision to sack Russo's two assistants, Marcelo Trobbiani and Guillermo Cinquetti (assistant coach and physical trainer, respectively), as a condition [.
