UEFA have announced the seeding's for tomorrow's much anticipated Champions League draw with the usual suspects in pot one. Manchester City will be in pot one and neither the top seed's or second seed's will want to draw them, bar Barcelona who are favourites to beat everyone. Trabzonspor are in pot three also after replacing Fenerbache who were thrown out of the Competition over match fixing allegations.

Today, The Champions League formally returns. It's the last step for a few European giants to reach the Group Stage of Europe's elite competition or be relegated into the Europa League.

Matches this afternoon include: Arsenal v. Udinese. BATE Borisov v. SK Sturm Graz.

For 20 teams, the UEFA Champions League group stage is within reach, and half of those teams will try and take the first step to getting there on Tuesday.

The final qualifying round for the Champions League kicks off with Arsenal and Udinese stealing the spotlight with the first-leg of their encounter in London.

Well, Man City's draw could have been a lot worse with Barcelona, AC Milan and Dortmund being the toughest possible permutation but it's not as though the balls have been especially kind to them Bayern Munich are seasoned heavyweights whereas both Villarreal and Napoli are not to be underestimated.

FC Barcelona has been drawn into Group H of 2011-12 UEFA Champions League Goup stage. AC Milan from Italy, Bate Borisov from Belarus and FC Viktoria Plzeň from Czech republic joined Barca in Group H to make for an interesting group. AC Milan is seven times Champions whereas Borisov is playing in Champions League for the second time and FC Viktoria Plzeň will make their Champions League debut this season.

The UEFA Champions League Group Stage draw took place on Thursday and while we didn't quite get the ultimate Group of Death, we did see some juicy match-ups and one VERY tough group.

Manchester City's first foray into the Champions League will see the boys in Blue compete in the clear choice for Group of Death as City takes on Bayern Munich, Villarreal and Napoli in Group A.

The group stage draw for the 2011/12 edition of the UEFA Champions League took place in Monaco, France on Thursday evening. The draw sees defending champions FC Barcelona being drawn against seven time European champion AC Milan and Eastern European opponents FC BATE Borisov and FC Viktoria Plzeň in Group H.

The Champions League this year has a very different feel to it. We have the omnipresent Barcelona who look ready to conquer the trophy yet again, now faced with AC Milan in their group of the Champions League group stages. While the past few seasons haven't been the best for AC Milan, the rossoneri have strengthened and seem prepared to make a strong run in Europe this upcoming season.
