So, one point from a game where it won't really do much to help us. In reality though, we could
have come away with all three points had we managed to score one more of our chances, or had Saja
not made a terrible mistake that the goalkeeper on my own amateur team would likely avoid.
Well, AEKBaltimore will watch the match on TV soon, since I believe he recorded it, and I'm not
sure if AEKMAN74 watched as well.

So, as is typical with AEK, we blow an early 1-0 lead and end up with a draw (today, the match
against PAS, the Cup Final, the match with BATE).
My stream today was poor quality, so I can't comment as much as I could have. But basically what
we saw throughout the match was that we had many chances, yet we only scored one of them.

Ok, to be honest, I was expecting a loss for AEK here. Aris were considered favorites for this
game and I think that's somewhat justified. Bearing that in mind, I'll take a draw here. Its never
easy to win away against Aris, even on a good day.
I wasn't able to watch the match since it was satellite.

Well, our night went from good to about as bad as it could get. As you can see from the post
below we were up 1-0 at half time.
The second half started and early on Majstorovic gets his second yellow and is sent off and Bate
tie the game. So, one of our key players is sent off, the pitch condition is deteriorating (and it
was disgusting to begin with) and we were loosing the control over the game we had before.

45 minutes in and we're leading this one 1-0! Blanco scored a penalty (certainly the correct
call) to put us up and we now are in a great position and the win is definately possible.
Conditions are terrible in Minsk. It is extremely cold (near zero degrees celcius) and the pitch
is extremely wet.

AEK have been drawn in group I for the Europa League Group Stage along with Benfica, Everton,
and BATE. Not a bad group I must say. We could have gotten a much more difficult but I believe we
have a pretty good chance of advancing to the next round.
Benfica should be a tough opponent but they have not been at their best in recent years.

It's Barcelona's to lose. Even the four one seeds teams who find themselves as potential opponents
(Chelsea, Arsenal, Lyon & Inter - and they're Barca's only potential opponents) are desperately
hoping to avoid the Barcelona lottery. The Catalans are simply, undeniably playing the best
football on the planet right now.

The Cinderellas are in group B, not A. Cluj was the underdog-come-good story to start out the
campaign, and deservedly so. They beat Roma - though who didn't earlier in the season - and
nil-niled (yes, that's a verb) with a then high-flying Chelsea team. Now, however, they've come
back down to earth, and will be [.

Don't touch the ref. For most of the bright readers 'round these parts, this isn't exactly a
revelation. Actually, if one was to take a poll at a local zoo, you probably wouldn't find too many
wide eyes until stumbling upon the lemur cage. Not the case for Oleksandr Aliev, who pushed the ref
away and [.

Note: When we do our searches for the ever-elusive game highlights, we have to take what we can
get. (And we do it with much gratitude to the people who manage to evade the Video Police and host
them.) But the ones we find are not always perfect. There's a good chance that [...]

4 seeds are the new 3 seeds; or, Transylvanians, Cypriots & Belarusians are legit. BATE were very
fortunate to be eying a blonde Austrian rather than a turban-sporting Italian in net, but they were
never predicted to sneak a deserved point. Cluj proved their Roma win was no fluke, even if they
used a vastly different [.

There's no getting away from the fact that some team names are a little less familiar than others
in the Champions League this season. But if we were expecting the likes of Romania's CFR Cluj and
Belarus's FC BATE Borisov to roll out the welcome mat and let the more famous teams trample all
over [...

For Champions League Matchday 2 we're going to try something a little different. Rather than

to have a place where we can discuss [.

The final 32 clubs who will partake in this year's Champions League campaign have qualified and are
all set for tomorrow's draw - set somewhere in Europe which is easy for Michele Platini to travel
to (oh it's in Monaco, how nice). And though the qualifying stages are a bit Champions League Lite,
they still [.
