Cheltenham Town 2 - 0 Morcambe

Cheltenham Town Are At Home 20 February @ 01:38 PM EDT
League 2: Saturday 20th February 2010
Hard working old pro's, beyond their best but with a few tricks up their sleeves. Julian Alsop was man of the match and scored a header from almost exactly the same spot as his previous goal. Click to continue reading...

Hayles turns down Boro return

FC Boro 19 January @ 02:18 PM EDT

Arguably the best ever player to play for Stevenage has rejected the chance to re-join the club nearly 13 years after heΒ left the club for Bristol Rovers. Hayles went on to play in the Premier League with Fulham as well as successful spells at Millwall, Plymouth Argyle and Leicester City. He is currently with League 2 side Cheltenham Town, as the 37 year old veteran striker begins to wind down his career.

Could Westley be off to Cheltenham?

FC Boro 14 December @ 05:28 PM EDT

Rumours surfaced this afternoon that Stevenage manager Graham Westley could be in line to become the new manager of League 2 Cheltenham Town. The Robins are without a manager after sacking Martin Allen last week. Allen was initially suspended by the club before being told he would be sacked after an 'incident' at a nightclub.

Saturday 5th December, Football League 2
Cheltenham Town made a spirited contribution to the season of good will with some excellent slap-stick defending. Having gone in at half-time with two scrappy goals from Barry Hayles under their belts they quickly let Akinfenwa get his second. Click to continue reading...

Cheltenham Town 0 – 4 Crewe Alexandra
League 2 - Saturday 31st October 2009
Cheltenham were given a lesson in basic football skills by a well prepared Crewe Alexandra. Dario Gradi is one of - if not the - longest serving managers in any of the leagues. He sent out a solid and disciplined side who kept their shape, passed well, defended in strength when needed and made the most of their opportunities. Click to continue reading...

Cheltenham Town 1 - 1 Notts County
League 2 Saturday 3rd October
Another one-all home draw shouldn't really be grounds for optimism. Cheltenham have not won at home since the opening game of the season. But I enjoyed this match. In fact, I never once needed cardiac massage and left feeling thoroughly entertained. Click to continue reading...

Cheltenham Town 1 - 2 Shrewsbury Town
League 2 Tuesday 29th September
I missed Shrewsbury's second goal. Well I looked up from the text message I was composing and saw a ball roll past a crowd of gob-smacked players into the net at the C & G end. I think the text read " 1-1 Brown error - he's just cost us the match". Click to continue reading...

Bury 0 - 1 Cheltenham Town
Saturday 12th September
The poor Shakers were obviously robbed by Cheltenham at the death. Barry Hayles seems to have decided to get involved in the game in the 94th minute and 'good-night'.
Cheltenham have reached their 2008-09 record of away wins in little over a month. Click to continue reading...

Cheltenham Town 2 – 1 Grimsby Town - Saturday 8th August
Football should not be played in August. It's not suited to the kind of afternoon that greeted the opening game at Whaddon Road; blue sky and green tuft watered by 12 inches of summer rainfall. It's just too pleasant for such a serious matter. Click to continue reading...
