There have been some recent articles out suggesting that Huddersfield Town striker Jordan Rhodes
could be a Newcastle target. Jordan Rhodes are Newcastle really interested? The Oldham-born
player who is the son of the former Barnsley and Oldham Athletic player and current Sheffield
Wednesday goalkeeping coach, Andy Rhodes.
Part 2 of the series focuses on Norwegian striker, Jan Åge Fjørtoft...
Jan Åge Fjørtoft became a bit of a cult hero during his time in the Premier League playing for
Swindon Town in the 93/94 season. His fly by celebration became infamous throughout the league.
Southampton vs Manchester United FA Cup fourth round- January 29, 2011 Final score:- Southampton
1-2 Manchester United ( Richard Chaplow/ Michael Owen, Javier Hernandez) After their comeback act
against Blackpool in midweek, Manchester United produce another excellent recovery performance to
beat valiant Southampton in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Sorry for the tardiness of this post. I don't really have an excuse, as it's not like our boys
were up to much...
Diomansy Kamara came off the bench in the 51st minute in Leicester City's 1-1
draw with Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.
Kagisho Dikgacoi did not dress in Crystal Palace's 1-1 draw at Hull City on
Saturday.
The phrase `yo-yo club' is well established in the football lexicon, but is there also such a thing
as a yo-yo player? While Michael Chopra himself might not reply in the affirmative, fans of
Sunderland probably would. It was, though, the subject of another recent transfer further down the
Football League, Paul Hayes, that brought the notion to mind.
Who's Looking Good?
Leicester: Having massively overhauled the squad during the summer, signing no
less than nine players, including the marquee signings of Kasper Schmeichel, David Nugent, Michael
Johnson, Neil Danns and Paul Konchesky should give the Foxes the quality needed to reach the
Premiership for the first time since 2002.
It feels a bit like Groundhog day at the moment and it's not because I'm stuck in the Insurance
industry from 9 til 5 during the week. It is however because Stevenage have begun this season in a
very similar fashion to last year's campaign. A draw at home was followed by a narrow defeat in the
Carling Cup first round to Championship opposition.

So, West Ham unveiled their new mascot 'Hammerhead' before their 1-0 win over Barnsley at Upton
Park on Saturday...
Saints be praised, it looks like he's got a back story too:
"Foundered in the Thames Iron Works many decades ago, the workers who crafted a new champion
drew on the spirits of heroes old and new to create the ultimate goal machine.
There has been some rumours about Wolves being interested in Hammill, a player from Barnsley. But I
think you can forget that altogether. The reason of these rumours are very probably the fact that
the Wolves manager Mick McCarthy originating from Barnsley was there watching out on-loan Wolves
player Matt Hill.
Join me Saturday for the live blog/live chat of the FA Cup Third Round. The fun begins with the
7:45am ET/12:45pm UK kickoff featuring Arsenal versus Leeds United followed by keeping track of all
of the goals going in across England during the 10am ET/3pm UK matches, and concluding with the
12:30pm ET/5:30pm UK match between Stevenage and Newcastle United.

Liverpool are planning a summer swoop for Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Matt Jarvis.
According to the Sunday Mirror, Reds Director of Football Strategy Damien Comolli is set to
reignite his interest in the 24-year-old midfield talent, and will try to bring the player to
Anfield in the summer.
Having scored the only goal to give his Wolves side a valuable three points in this weekend's
Midlands derby, Jarvis has been rewarded for his fine form with a call-up to Fabio Capello's
England team.

It's here, and it's not going unnoticed despite being surrounded by other events and

certain hype about this year's FA Youth Cup final, nothing emphasised this more than the 24,000
tickets that had already been sold by Wednesday last week, Bramall Lane holds just shy of
33,000.

- Fastest Red Card Ever?
Swindon Town's New (and Controversial) Boss
You couldn't ever accuse Swindon Town supporters of having little to talk about. The team has
pogoed around the divisions in the last twenty years (they were present in the second ever Premier
League season of 1993-4, and are at present the only former Premiership team to have been relegated
to the lowest league tier).
This is not a transaction that I sought or contemplated but, if it is the only route to
guarantee a future for Plymouth Argyle Football Club, it is a route that I am prepared to take.
After seven months of claiming that he was a mere consultant to Plymouth Argyle Football Club,
of claiming that he was talking to (you guessed it) anonymous wealthy businessmen that were
interested in pouring money into a League One (now League Two) club, then, a property company has
been announced as the preferred bidder for the assets of the administration-struck Plymouth Argyle
and that they, of all of the 6.
