Fifty Years Ago Today: QPR's RECORD VICTORY- December 3, 1960, QPR defeat Tranmere 9-2 at Loftus Road in a QPR team which included Mike Keen,
Clive Clark, Tony Ingham and a recently-signed Mark Lazarus.
Although I don't live in Yorkshire, I've little doubt as to which clubs the newspapers of the white
rose county will be prone to concentrate on and hence, can guess at the frustration this will bring
for fans of Barnsley, notwithstanding their access to the brilliant On the Ponty End podcasts. So,
it's with a disclaimer that I'll kick off the third to last preview before Christmas.

One of the disadvantages of running a supposedly non-partisan website is the guilt that comes with
covering the club one supports rather than Burnley, Bradford or Bury. Notwithstanding the odd
detailed appraisal (witness Lloyd's recent mammoth take on Plymouth Argyle's current travails), our
opportunities to write about one's own favourites have often been restricted to guest posts
elsewhere.
