It wasn't pretty, but the Revs pulled it off. Three points against the Colorado Rapids, hot
damn! I'll take it! It seems clear to me that the fans weren't the only ones angry about the result
against the Red Bulls. Wednesday night, the Revolution took the pitch with their game faces on, and
they stayed on for 90 minutes.
Wrexham were denied a lucrative tie with Newcastle United after a heartbreaking penalty shoot-out
defeat to Brighton in an enthralling FA Cup third-round replay.
Craig Mackail-Smith scored the decisive penalty after Peter Brezovan had denied Dean Keates to set
up a fourth-round home clash against Alan Pardew's Newcastle.
Two months after he was taken by the Revolution in the first stage of the Re-entry Draft, it
appears that left back Danleigh Borman won't be in Foxboro in 2012.
According to a report, the 27-year-old is close to returning to his native South Africa to play
for Pretoria-based SuperSport United.
With the Desert Diamond Cup less than two weeks away and representing the Revs first true test
against MLS competition, it's time to introduce a feature I'll be running with all season long: The

"I will do everything I can to win a football match, whatever you can imagine."
Brighton lie two points of the play-off places and are undefeated in ten games to date.

The Union reserve team opened up their season yesterday morning against the New England
Revolution's reserve squad with a 4-2 victory. With the sun beating down on the Chester Field pitch
and the wind gusting, the Union reserves played a strong 90 minutes. Due to the Union's bye week,
some players who may not have normally played with the reserve team, like Josue Martinez and Roger
Torres, got a chance to get some good minutes in during the match.
We're closing in on Saturday's big East Coast clash with DC United, and the New England
Revolution are scrambling to cope with the loss of captain Shalrie Joseph. Elsewhere, the dream
season for Americans Abroad has continued as Jozy Altidore, Fabian Johnson, and others have put up
some good numbers in mid-week action.
