There is no need to repeat the details but it seems safe to say most, if not all, Arsenal fans
were seething with disappointment, anger, or worse after the way events transpired last summer.
Of the millions of words written on the transfer business and the subsequent season, few have
covered the fact that Arsene Wenger had a massive tactical challenge in front of him after the
departure of his talisman and captain, the player who could have taken his place in midfield, and
that of a very hardworking and reliable defender who even though popular opinion was to the
contrary remains one of the best at his job in the League.
Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has reminded rivals that the European champions will be
contending for the Barclays Premier League next season as the team has become fully committed to
putting last season's domestic struggles behind them.
The Blues incredibly realized owner Roman Abramovich's European dream 10 days ago in Munich and
although many of the squad's members are already engaged in Euro 2012 preparations, Torres is
thinking about next season too.
Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins is standing firm over talk linking Brendan Rodgers with the Liverpool
job, dismissing reports he will meet the club's owners as 'pure speculation'.
Although Rodgers had previously stated his intention to remain with the Swans, having already
turned down the chance to speak with the Anfield club, it appears the Reds have not given up on the
hope of talking to the Northern Irishman.
Hello all. I am back from the wilderness and from a very pleasant and memorable trip.
Yellowstone is just a breathtaking place in so many ways and we were very lucky with the weather as
well. Mendocino too was great fun as we went there with a close friend and his family. Don't know
how but I managed to pick up a flu bug soon after returning and that's kept me down for the last
couple of days.
West Ham's Wembley matchwinner Ricardo Vaz Te is determined to make the most of his second chance.
The Portuguese winger was on the football scrapheap two years ago after being released by Bolton,
but the Hammers' £500,000 January recruit looks like a bargain after scoring that dramatic late
play-off final winner to sink Blackpool 2-1 and earn West Ham the estimated £90million promotion
to the Barclays Premier League brings.

Arsenal starlet Wojciech Szczesny believes that the current crop of attacking players in the
Barclays Premier League are as good as their counterparts from any other era of English
football.
The likes of Robin van Persie, Sergio Aguero, Didier Drogba, and Wayne Rooney led the way with a
plethora of remarkable goals throughout the season, making even the most renowned Premier League
defenses struggle for safety.
And so the season finally ended. It was a season filled with drama, with more ups and downs for all
clubs than in any previous season. Who would've scripted a more dramatic end to the Premier League
title race? The excitement involved is what makes the Barclays Premier League the best league to
watch.
Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard acknowledges that lifting the Champions League trophy at
Tottenham's expense was a little bittersweet due to the efforts of his uncle Harry Redknapp but
knows that it was only the top priority for the Blues to seize their moment of glory.
Lampard and his teammates finished sixth in the Barclays Premier League this season, with the
Spurs taking the fourth spot.

npower Championship play-off final.
Ian Holloway's Blackpool had much the better of the opening exchanges, with Matt Phillips
missing two chances, but it was West Ham who took the lead after Carlton Cole nicely controlled
Matt Taylor's pass and slotted the ball past Matt Gilks in the 34th minute.

of the Blues' long Champions League journey.

Danny Graham struck four minutes from time as Swansea ended a memorable debut Barclays Premier
League campaign with victory over Liverpool at the Liberty Stadium.
The striker fired low to Alexander Doni's left from Angel Rangel's astute ball across the box to
give the Welsh side a win to rank alongside their successes over Arsenal and Manchester City
earlier this term.
A Dramatic End to a Crazy Season - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Yesterday, this year's roller-coaster Barclay's Premier League season came to a
dramatic end following an astonishing afternoon of football.
Below is a round-up of how the points were shared and the significance for the teams
involved.
Manchester City Football club are crowned 2011-2012 Barclays Premier League champions.
It was a frantic and nerve-wracking for the club and the whole league down to the closing
seconds.
The Manicini managed club was down 1-2 at up to 90 (+2) minutes of the game, until Dzeko scored
a header from a corner.
To say that the 38th matchday of the 2011-12 Barclays Premier League season was extremely
thrilling and dramatic would be an understatement, as the verdict on the season of many teams was
held till the very last kick.
The Title Picture
Manchester City came from 2-1 behind to score two stoppage time goals against Queens Park
Rangers to secure an incredible 3-2 win and with that, their first league title since 1968.
Bendtner Wants Fresh Challenge
Nicklas Bendtner has declared that he wants to leave Arsenal
in the summer transfer window on a permanent transfer. The Danish striker spent the 2011/12
Barclays Premier League season on loan at Sunderland but failed to impress the Black Cats manager
Martin O'Neill, who is not keen to recruit him on a permanent basis.
Fox Sports Media Group and ESPN will provide an unprecedented level of coverage for the final
matchday of the 2011-12 English Premier League season. ESPN will be broadcasting one match while
the other nine will be available on a variety of Fox Networks (on TV and online).
Full details of the schedule are below via a FSMG press release.
Alan Pardew, the Barclays Premier League Manager of the Year thinks that European competition will
help keep his players on Tyneside. Alan Pardew massively over-achieved at Newcastle this season
But Alan says he is still looking to bring three players in this summer, but that could be more
if players leave the club, and both Guthrie and Simpson [.
Ah, the final day of the Premier League season. Chelsea in recent years have become used to
having a massive say at the last, but not this term. A season that has produced little inspiration
from a league perspective will end with little well, nothing to play for.
Dead rubber this match with relegated Blackburn is.
Jonjo Shelvey has revealed how he is hoping to begin next season by picking up where he left off in
2011-12 and continue to challenge for a regular first-team berth.
The 20-year-old has started six of Liverpool's last seven Barclays Premier League games and claimed
his first top-flight goal with a well-taken long-range effort in the 4-1 victory over Chelsea in
midweek.
Alan Pardew, manager of Newcastle United, has been awarded the EPL's top manager for the 2011-12
season.
Few could have imagined Newcastle would be qualifying for European football after being
relegated to the Championship in 2009. The team quickly returned to the EPL and finished 12th place
in the 2010-11 season.
Pat Rice wanted to call it a day at the end of last season. Arsene, perhaps with a premonition
of the tumultuous summer, persuaded him to stay one more year. With all the changes in the squad,
another vital one in the backroom staff might have been too difficult to manage. This summer will
hopefully be a more stable one as far as departures are concerned and that should give the new man
some breathing space as he learns the ropes and establishes his own identity.
Koscielny Highlights the Importance of Champions League Qualification
Arsenal FC defender Laurent Koscielny believes that it is vital for the Gunners
to finish the season in third position on the Barclays Premier League points table.
(Goal.com)
A win over West Bromwich Albion in this weekend's final game of the season will ensure that
Arsenal retain their current third place.
Former Liverpool Director of Football Strategy,Damien Comolli says
Liverpool have made Andy Carroll a stronger player and is confident there is more to come from the
£35 million Striker.
Carroll has endured a difficult time at Anfield since moving from Newcastle for a British record
£35 million last January but there are signs Andy Carroll may be starting to come into his
own.
Eden Hazard: United or City? - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Eden Hazard is arguably the most sought after player in Europe at the moment. It now looks
like the Belgian dazzler has made his decision on where he'll be playing next season and Fergie's
not going to like it at all!
Recently the Lille midfielder has dropped his biggest hint yet that he will join Manchester City
this summer after announcing he will 'definitely' be wearing blue next season.
Blackpool sealed a showdown with West Ham in the Championship play-off final after a thrilling
semi-final second leg with Birmingham at St Andrew's.
Leading 1-0 from Friday night's first leg, Blackpool seemed to have the tie sewn up when they
scored two goals minutes either side of half-time from Stephen Dobbie and Matt Phillips.
Last Saturday, in the game against Norwich, Vermaelen won possession around the halfway line in
the 26th minute and proceeded on a run towards the opposition box. Arsenal did manage to get enough
bodies forward but Sagna's cross was easily cleared leading to a counter-attack that resulted in
the visitors' second goal.
TweetBlackburn Rovers have been relegated to the Championship after a 1-0 defeat at home to Wigan
and former defender Henning Berg has laid the blame firmly at Venky's. Antolin Alcaraz headed a
late winner as Wigan condemned Blackburn to relegation (and ensured their own Barclays Premier
League survival) thus leaving the future of Rovers boss [.
And so it goes, as per the schedule, that we are to do battle once more with Liverpool. In
fairness, I could do without this routine of exercises, particularly after our weekend triumph. But
the schedule is what it is, and we have a trip to Anfield on the books. So lets make the most of
this then, and at rub some additional salt in those wounds.
Norwich came to the Emirates with nothing to lose and expressed themselves with gay abandon. The
visitors fought hard, were impressive in their transitions, deservedly scored three goals while
exposing Arsenal's weaknesses, and took back a rightfully earned point.
Arsene Wenger started with the same line-up that fought hard for a draw away to Stoke.
Wenger Urges Gunners to Match RVP's Production against WBA
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has urged his players to step up and match
