The English Premier League starts back up after a few weeks off due to World Cup Qualifying in
Europe. There are several interesting matches this weekend in the EPL, including unbeaten Tottenham
Hotspur hosting Manchester United. In the USA, there are several matches that will be broadcasted
on Fox Soccer Channel, ESPN2, and Setanta Sports.
Liverpool Reserves enjoyed a winning start to life at Prenton Park as Bolton were swept aside in
the Barclays Premier Reserve League North.
Gerardo Bruna, Jordy Brouwer and Alex Kacaniklic were on target as the Reds bounced back from their
defeat at Blackburn.
They took the lead after 15 minutes when Nikola Saric was tripped on the edge of the box and Bruna
stepped up to slam in the free-kick.

Didier Drogba is facing a spell on the sidelines regardless of the results of a scan on the Chelsea
striker's right calf last night.
Carlo Ancelotti hopes that Drogba is merely suffering from severe cramp after being carried off on

Rafael Benitez has warned that it is too early to write off Liverpool's Barclays Premier League
title chances.
The Liverpool manager believes his side can build on last month's 3-2 victory over Bolton Wanderers

When the Carling Cup Round 3 draw was first made, it was very difficult to
imagine West Bromwich Albion providing much of a competition to
Arsenal at The Emirates. Granted, Arsene Wenger
uses the competition to provide some first-team action to his reserves, but even those teenagers
usually prove to be a handful for the opponents.
Leeds turned the clock back to the start of the decade as they gave Liverpool a stern examination

A second-half goal from French striker David Ngog eventually settled the third-round tie in the
