Cesc Fabregas has furiously denied bad-mouthing the Arsenal and insisting he didn't leave, as
claimed in an interview, because the Gunners couldn't win silverware in the next few years.
Cesc-gate erupted yesterday with a supposed interview in which the Barcelona midfielder set out
his reasons for quitting the Emirates, chief amongst them was the percieved inability for Arsene
Wenger to steer the club to some trophies any time soon.
After arriving from Barcelona with such immense potential, Dani Pacheco has managed only 14
appearances for the first team in 4 years at Liverpool. This season, he's been loaned out to
Ateletico Madrid, who in turn have farmed him out to Rayo Vallenco. What's the problem with
Pacheco, and why has he not progressed at a quicker pace?
The Time Is Napoli! Italy's two premier sides went head to head in the peninsula's showcase match
of Week 2. Both the Partenepoi and Rossoneri earned respectable draws against hotly fancied
opposition in Manchester City and Barcelona respectively midweek, were coming into the Sao Paolo
clash with injury concerns.
Gone fishing It is not a great time to be an Arsenal, but here's a humorous little straw for
downtrodden Gooners to cling to. The club has signed the son of the man who spearheaded part one of
the campaign to bring Cesc Fabregas back to Barcelona. Guim Laporta, son of ex-Barca president
Joan, is [...
So our friends at Barca sent this cool video as part of the club's new campaign to foster
"healthy eating habits". In it, Lionel Messi appears as a cross between the a
14-year-old version of himself and Tin Tin the detective. "I know that if I train and eat
well, I will win the Ballon d'Or," he drawls lazily, clearly unaware they would be using
this footage again 10 years later.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Andre Santos have struck early for Arsenal to give the home side a
2-1 advantage over the visiting Olympiakos during the first half at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners left skipper Robin van Persie and key playmaker Aaron Ramsey on the bench in
anticipation of Sunday's cracking North London derby but that did not prevent them from dominating
in the early stages of their Group F match.
Lionel Messi became Barcelona's second highest ever goalscorer after he netted twice during his
sides 5-0 demolition of BATE Borisov. "There is simply no stopping him"; "Messi the record-breaker"
were just some of the standout headlines gleaming across the official Barcelona website. And who
can disagree?

Before getting to the transfers that took place on the last day relating to Real Madrid, I must add
that few hours ago Oezil said that Real Madrid were on the level of Barcelona especially after
their result against Barcelona in Spanish SuperCup which Real Madrid lost unfortunately. So these
transfers do not really affect [.

Arsenal are currently looking at the latest Spanish sensation to come out of Barcelona, 17 year-old
Gerard Deulofeu. Chief scout Steve Rowley has been keeping a close eye on the teenager over the
summer, and he is already being compared to the great Lionel Messi. Deulofeu is only on a youth
contract at Barcelona and [.

It's Champions League group stage time from now until the beginning of December Europe's elite
clubs will be going up against each other trying to reach the knockout stages and of course the
money that playing in the later stages brings.
England manager, Fabio Capello, has today sung the praises of Manchester United winger, Ashley
Young.
After some great form for England, scoring and assisting goals, Capello has hailed the impact
moving from Aston Villa to United has had on his performances.
"The pressure Young has to face in every game is big so it is normal when he plays for
England.

Just going to leave these here highlights of the game that nearly ruptured Tiziano Crudeli's
ventricles; a game that saw Pato score the fifth fastest Champions League goal on record, Lionel
Messi notch a barn-storming assist for Pedro's equaliser and a stunning 25-yard free-kick from
David Villa among other things.
Save that could have bigger implications later
It's Friday and that means only one more day to Premier League football. We are visiting Ewood
Park tomorrow to play Blackburn Rovers. Although this comes directly after the Champions League tie
away to Dortmund and this being an early fixture, I believe there's ample time for the players to
recover from their midweek exertions.

Villarreal picked up their first win of the new La Liga season on Tuesday night, beating Real
Mallorca 2-0. Giuseppe Rossi and Nilmar scored early in each half although the hosts could have
scored even more as they enjoyed a return to form at El Madrigal.
On another night Rossi could have had a hat-trick but it mattered little as the Yellow Submarine
ended a winless start to the season that had seen them second from bottom at kick-off.

A newspaper, a café con leche or an espresso, a café, and a cigarette. Maybe a croissant as
well. It's the stereotypical Spanish breakfast. Substitute a few tapas for the croissant and you
more or less have lunch covered as well. But on the 1st of January, 2011, a newly enforced law in
Spain interrupted the daily routine of millions.
Right, so Real Madrid and Barcelona came away from the weekend with nice
thrashings of their opponents (6-2 and 5-0 respectively). But while the socios are out
popping their 1,245th bottle of champagne clearly you can all start to see a pattern here? The La
Liga is starting to morph into that dreary prospect of a two-legged race!

Curioso lo que sucedió recientemente con el equipo del Barcelona en España, pero primero

Atletico Madrid have signed Diego on loan while Barcelona's Alexander Hleb replacing him at
Wolfsburg.
Diego, 26, joined Wolfsburg from Juventus last summer but ran into trouble with the club's
hierarchy for disciplinary reasons. Wolfsburg have now confirmed he has now moved to Atleti for the
coming season with Coach Felix Magath said:
"I'm convinced Diego will play an outstanding role in Madrid.
Alexis Sanchez and Cesc Fabregas all smiles sporting their new colors! Glory and lifting Cups is
what awaits them.
After 3 seasons of seeing magical football displayed by arguably the best football team ever
assembled I asked myself if it could ever get better than this. The answer is YES!
Barcelona have confirmed that former Arsenal winger Alexander Hleb will spend yet another season
away from the Catalan club as he is being loaned out to German outfit VfL Wolfsburg.
Belarus international Hleb rose to prominence during an impressive three-year spell during which
he made 129 appearances and netted on 10 occasions in all competitions.

The signing of Ruiz gives us an extraoardinary array of attacking talent. It means we can field
a combination of Zamora, Duff, Dempsey, Dembele and Ruiz, which you'd hope would suffice for our
needs. They can't all play, but even if we see three or four of them, their attacking instincts
need to be covered by someone to defend.
