If you don't care for Italian football, scroll far, far down, because there's a lot of Serie
A-based news forthcoming. AC Milan will be saying goodbye to eight players in June, according to
Gazzetta dello Sport. A couple of names we already know will be on their way out, including Paolo
Maldini, who'll [.
Today's top transfer rumors: For a long, long time Wagner Love has been tipped to join the English
Premier League and under the current circumstances it appears that he shall be another expensive
import to the English game as soon as January next year. The 23-year Brazilian striker currently
plays for Russian powerhouse CSKA Moscow [.
Today's top transfer rumours: The biggest transfer gossip in the English press is the alleged
interest of Arsenal in AC Milan youngster Yoann Gourcuff. The Daily Telegraph has reported that
Arsene Wenger is keen on having a second bite at the French cherry after missing out on the French
starlet in 2006 when he moved to [.
Today's top transfer rumours revolve around Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea, Milan, Inter, Real
Madrid and the usual talent-spotting by Manchester United and Arsenal. One trick of the feet and
the entire situation alters apparently. Even on Saturday, Ronaldinho's future at FC Barcelona was
lurking in the shadows of doubt as his brother-cum-agent Roberto de Assis was constantly [.
Following is a comprehensive list of transfer rumours which were published in British tabloids
during the month of November 2007: Manchester United According to various British newspapers,
Manchester United have stolen a march on Real Madrid in the £10m race to sign midfielder Miguel
Veloso. Moreover according to The People, Manchester United are being sounded out about a [.
Things are quickly turning from bad to worse to full-on intolerable with Barcelona and Ronaldinho,
the rumors of him leaving the club for AC Milan are picking up speed. Ronaldinho hasn't been in
World Player of the Year form this season, and he's falling further and further out of Frank
Rijkaard's good graces, with [.
With 2008 just around the corner, a new wave of young players look poised to mark their mark on the
European stage over the next 12 months. Below is a selection of promising youngsters who are set to
rise to prominence in the second half of the 07/08 season, and beyond.
Samir Nasri (Age: 20, Olympique Marseille, Attacking Midfield, France)
"The new Zinedine Zidane".
Here are ten reasons why Barcelona can no longer call the shots, or at least title-winning shots:
1) The side is very poorly organised. Despite a positive start against Real Madrid at home, they
clearly went off track against more disciplined Los Merengues(who weren't brilliant themselves, but
smarter).

Today's top transfer rumors: Internazionale have shown an interest in wonderkid Lionel Messi but
the young Argentinean has rejected any potential offers coming in for him. He admitted to being
flattered with the interest shown in him and with the admiration coming from Inter's president
Massimo Moratti but has decided that Barcelona is where he will [.
The first part of our joyous Christmas transfer rumours bundle... Arsene Wenger quite fancies a bit
of Tottenham's Dimitar Berbatov, and isn't afraid to mount an audacious bid. Wenger said that
Berbatov's performance in the weekend's North London derby was excellent, and apparently this means
he'll fight tooth and nail to gobble him up in January.
43rd minute at the Mestalla on Saturday night. FC Barcelona are winning against Valencia CF 2-0 and
are in cruise control. Then a cruel thing happens: Lionel Messi pulls a hamstring and is escorted
off the pitch. Then a doubly cruel thing happens: Ronaldinho, who is on the substitute's bench for
yet another La Liga [.
Today's transfer rumours revolve around Manchester City, strikers, Arsenal's Jens Lehmann and the
silly (or not so silly) Ronaldinho-Barcelona-Chelsea saga. Manchester City are flying high in the
English Premiership and they want to fly higher, it seems. Manchester City chairman Thaksin
Shinawatra is said to be deeply contemplating on whether to make a move for the [.
The night before Christmas Eve I gave you all my predictions for four of the eight Round of 16 ties
in the Champions League and as promised, I have the last four today.
5. AC Roma vs. Real Madrid: This could make for a pretty entertaining two games as
we'll see the current leaders of La Liga take on the current second-place side in Serie A.
"Enmarcado" ¨Framed¨ Es una nueva serie en que dos celebridades - un atleta y un animador - y los
asigna a la tarea de crear un corto de dos minutos de película en tan sólo dos días. El
deportista debe ser la estrella en la película, con el artista que están emparejados , se utiliza
para estar delante de la cámara, también debe ir detrás de la escena como director.
Rumors have it that MLS has their eyes on four teams for the 2008 All-Star match in Toronto. Those
clubs, in no particular order, are Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid. Yes, the
All-Star game is a bit of a joke based more on marketing then anything else, but if it has to be
done (and it does), might as well get some top-level competition.

And the award for the least surprising award of the year goes to... Kaká - winner of the 2007
Ballon d'Or.
I guess even the most ardent fan of Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi's talents wouldn't have felt
cheated seeing the AC Milan midfielder pick up the Football of the Year award, and would have just
accepted it as the 'correct result'.
Today's top transfer stories in the Premier League surround Chelsea and Manchester United. Could
old Chelsea friends Claudio Ranieri and Frank Lampard be reunited at Juventus? If Turin-based
Tuttosport is to be believed, then they are virtually assured of joining hands once more, this time
under the Juventus banner.
With the top three tiers in Argentine football having broken up for the summer (speaking of which
the lower division results service will make a belated return tomorrow for Primeras C and D), the
main focus for Argentine fans this weekend was on their Europe-based players. In England, Carlos
Tevez and Javier Mascherano found themselves [.
Now that the group stage of the UEFA Champions League is complete, it's time to look ahead to the
draw for the first knockout round, which will be held next Friday. There are a lot of intriguing
possibilities that could play out when the names are pulled out, and we will likely see some of
Europe's [.
Most call it El Clásico, some El Derbi and a few others El Grande Derbi. Call it by whatever name
you want to, but a rose by any other name would smell as sweet, wouldn't it? Forget Arsenal v
Tottenham, Celtic v Rangers, Inter Milan v AC Milan, AS Roma v Lazio; you can even [...]
It's actually fun watching Real Madrid again, that irrepressible Madridista
swagger is returning with each quality win, with each demoralized opponent, with each savvy
performance by Raul, with each unstoppable Robinho fantasy ‘futbol' clinic, with each deliberate
run down the flanks by Marcelo on the left and Ramos on the right, with each defensively masterful
performance by Pepe and now it's time to see how really far we've come in the SUPERCLASSICO against
our ‘eterno rival' – FC BARCELONA.
Barcelona and Spanish attacking midfielder Andres Iniesta reported
to keep stay in Barca team until 2014 after months discussions with president Joan Laporta. Iniesta
will earn 5 million euros per annum and 150 million euros release clause. Iniesta happy with his
new contract, "I've never wanted to leave Barcelona; I want a longer contract, with 2014 the
goal.
JULIO BAPTISTA SCORED A MYTHIC GOAL
Going into the Camp Nou for another edition of the SUPERCLASSICO Real Madrid sat on top of LA LIGA,
with only 4 points separating them from the 2nd place team in Spain, their eternal rivals
Barcelona.
Hardly a day passes by when you don't hear the words FC Barcelona, Ronaldinho and AC Milan in a
single sentence. Today is no exception as the Spanish press goes on and on about the Ronaldinho
circus that has reached almost to the point of insanity. Sport.es has reported that Ronaldinho
would leave the Camp Nou [.

The draw for the UEFA Champions League round of 16 has been made, and as expected, there are
several sexy ties among the eight matchups. Who drew the toughest assignment? Who may as well start
making ticket arrangements for the quarterfinals? My analysis is below, along with teams and
players to watch, and some [.
Camp Nou cathedral is no Jerusalem and Lionel Messi is no Jesus Christ. But that doesn't make the
diminutive Argentine anything less than a Saviour. If FC Barcelona is més que un club (more than a
club), then Messi is more than another soldier in the Catalan army. He is the leader, the spiritual
inspiration, [.

El Clasico was no classic. No roasted pig's head was showered on the players, no bottles rocketed
onto the pitch, no flares were lighted up in the stands and not even the teensy bits of paper were
hovering anywhere above the Camp Nou turf. There were only 3 yellow cards brandished and no red
cards [.
So the little one comes up to me this morning and says that she wants to get a soccer shirt.
Befuddled, pre-coffee moi asks what kind of shirt--a t-shirt perhaps? Or maybe something with
penguins kicking a soccer ball (don't get me started on the penguins!)? But no! She says she wants
one like the guys I watch on TV have.
With Shakhtar's 2-1 home defeat against Benfica securing Celtic's place in the last 16 of the UEFA

If the Spanish press is to be believed, then Valencia are in a crisis that is rumbling onto become

BARCELONA, Spain (AFP) — Julio Baptista gave Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster the Christmas
present he wanted by getting the only goal in a hard-fought 1-0 win over their bitter rivals
Barcelona on Sunday.
The rugged Brazilian striker - nicknamed The Beast - found the net after 36 minutes to bring to
an end to Barcelona's 100 per cent home record in their Nou Camp stadium this season, both in La
Liga and the Champions League.
