Today we say farewell to one of the Valencia greats.

Ruben Baraja has dedicated the last decade of his footballing career to our beloved Che and now here i dedicate this weekends update to him.

Baraja started his career at local club Real Valladolid before moving to Atlético de Madrid, where he would spend two 1/2 seasons with the the B side, first appearing with the main squad on February 7, 1999, playing the second half of a 1–2 defeat at UD Salamanca.

It's the last 16 stage of the 2002 World Cup and the Korean's face off against European giants Italy, having got through courtesy of a skin of the teeth victory over 9-man Portugal. Italy led the game from the 18th to the 88th minute through a Christian Vieri goal, before a late equaliser from Ki-Hyeon and golden goal by Ahn Jung-Huan puts the hosts through.
