Football: Torres on target as Liverpool crush Singapore
Liverpool arrived at Singapore in the second and last leg of their Asian Tour. With the boost of
news that talismanic captain, Steven Gerrard was cleared of his bar brawl, Liverpool turned on the
style against a sorry Singapore team.
Prior to the match, Singapore striker, Mohd Noh Alam Shah expressed to reporters that anything
could happen against Liverpool.
Is it me or is Alex Curran/Gerrard looking even hotter than usual here and will such a statement
risk me being beaten to a pulp in retaliation for perhaps being about to his someone? Anyway enjoy!

The CCTV footage of the Steven Gerrard bar brawl is finally released 7 months after the fact, you
can watch the video here. Gerrard has pleaded not guilty to the GBH charges eventhough the video
shows the midfielder throwing a couple of upper-cuts to the "victim" after a friend threw the first
punch.
Steven Gerrard was cheered by supporters as he left court a free man yesterday, after being cleared
of attacking a man in a bar brawl.
The England star admitted punching Marcus McGee three times but a jury took 75 minutes to find him
not guilty of affray.
With his hands clasped behind his back, the Liverpool captain, who has scored more than 100 goals
for the Reds, stood alone in the dock as the verdict was announced.
Ahead of Liverpool's game with Manchester United later today, I answered a few questions for Scott
over at 'The Republik of Mancunia'.
Here is the text of the interview, which was published on RoM yesterday:
Scott the Red: What do you make of the beachball fiasco at the Stadium of Light?
England footballer Steven Gerrard launched a volley of uppercut punches at a man in a row over
music, a court heard today.
The millionaire star "totally lost it" and attacked Marcus McGee, 34, "with the style and speed of
a professional boxer" in a 2am bar brawl, it is alleged.
Gerrard was at the Lounge Inn in Southport, Merseyside on 29 December to celebrate Liverpool's 5-1
demolition of Newcastle United hours earlier.
Ahead of Sunday's match at Anfield, Jamie Kanwar from Liverpool Kop has given a few minutes of
his time to answer some of my questions.
Scott the Red: What do you make of the beachball fiasco at the Stadium of
Light?
Jamie Kanwar: It was a very unfortunate incident, and according to the laws of the game, the goal
should not have stood.

We hear at the PLTO believe that Carlo Ancelotti has the perfect coaching style to mesh with the
Blues squad. Ancelotti is well known for coaching successful teams at AC Milan and now that the
coach has taken over the Blues you can expect the Blues misfortunes to quickly turn around as
well.
