The actions of a remorseful man Emmanuel Adebayor was apologetic personified after his crazed
sprint to celebrate his goal for Manchester City in front of Arsenal's supporters. But he is not
going to let the terrible guilt he feels deep down inside get in the way of a bit of training
ground banter. Having found the net [.
Morning everyone.
The fallout has begun. For years and years Wenger has been subjected to the vilest of chants, as
serious as any racial abuse, whenever we have made the trip to Old Trafford (and certain other
grounds, too). The mainstream media occasionally give it a casual reference, but until yesterday it
had never been properly addressed.

influential blogs in the UK blogosphere.
We are delighted to come straight into the listing at no 32 and thrilled to see so many Arsenal

Darren Fletcher faced even more International disappointment this week after a defeat to Holland
meant he will not be travelling to next summer's World Cup.
With Wayne Rooney enjoying great goal-scoring form for his country as well club, England have
qualified with two games to spare, which has meant the English players have been giving Fletcher a
lot of stick.
As Manchester United fans we have been blessed in watching outstanding football on a regular
basis for years. The amount of superb performances, great results and lifted trophies has left us
spoilt with success. We are famed for our dramatic results and have a habit of scoring vitally
important goals late on.
It's been a while since I last updated you on the fortunes of London's premier and, at time of
going to press, only football club for fans of Olympique de Marseille, Celtic and Liverpool. That's
mainly due to actually being busy with actually turning up to training sessions.
Yes, believe it or not, as long as it took to get going it's now a weekly fixture in the
calendar of many.
Join former Arsenal player Adrian Clarke and co-host Iain Spragg every Thursday on the new-look
Soccerlens Podcast.
These two highly experienced journalists love to debate all the hottest football topics with
their own unique style of banter, make spot on (or otherwise!) predictions for upcoming matches,
while also providing insightful interviews with a whole host of leading football experts.
The last post on the Kakuta story and the general topic of the transfer of young players provoked a
lot of good banter, thank you one and all. It is clearly one very complex area and it seems that
most people agree that blanket bans on the transfer of young players is not a clever way to solve
the problem.
This game happened a few days ago but I couldn't help but not post it. It's never easy to
score a goal so when a player like Scotland's Darren McFadden tries to take on the whole team from
half field and scores I can't helped but be amazed. Great goal!
Thanks to Stephen Smith from Jester's Banter for sending me the link to this one!
In an ideal world we'd be putting Saturday's defeat behind us and saying no more about it. That,
however, is impossible given the furore caused by Emmanuel Adebayor.
It's likely he's going to be hit with FA charges for the celebration and the stamp on Robin van
Persie. Regarding the celebration there are those who say Arsenal fans shouldn't have reacted like
that and perhaps that's true to an extent.
Yes my blogging knows no limits and I've become an Everton Banter blogger!
Another perfect excuse to write about the (not so) mighty Blues. Read the first part here then

That's how I view Everton's start to the season.
After all the talk of lessons learnt and exciting new signings in June, the club were once again
left to scramble around for new players around the September deadline day.
Derby day weekend has long been my favourite weekend of the year. It sometimes ends in tears but
generally it's great, regardless of the result.
My local is a red pub but there are a few blues who drink in there. There's plenty of banter and
usually it's good natured. We'll take the piss out of each other and have a laugh, but generally
everyone gets along fine.
As the excitement continues to build across the world for the 2012 Olympics in London there is
increasing speculation in the English sporting press regarding the olympic soccer tournament set to
be held at Wembley stadium. My English Football Banter Blog earlier revealed how the Great British
Team would be entering their first team for many years (although it is set to comprise of only
English players) and there has been more recent speculation amongst the football hacks as to who
will manage the British young guns at the London Games.
It looks as though Chelsea have been banned from signing any new players up until 2011! FIFA have
thrown the book at them as regards the Gael Kakuta affair.
Thing is, when FIFA try to impose the rulebook like they have on this occasion, I can see Chelsea
appealing and winning. There's no justice in the game today.
Oh Spurs. You do warm the cockles of my heart on these blustery Autumnal nights. I love these
little PR stunts. You know, the happy, smiley, 'look-at-us-we're-all-friends' gems that pop up on
the official website from time to time.
This latest one has provided some excellent feelgood pictures, all coming from the clubs official
squad photocall.
"And now Defoe can open his legs and go."
ITV commentator telling us something we really didn't need to know during England v
Slovenia.
Jeff Stelling: "John, I can't believe there are people leaving the stadium with the game
like this..."
John Salako: "The game has finished, Jeff.
Stockportinsider have teamed up with The Last Kick Forum - Thelastkick.co.uk is a football forum
that was established recently by Jamie, and has grown in popularity since. They boast a large array
of fans from different backgrounds and clubs. Their users actively take part in intellectual debate
as well as light hearted banter.
I know as soon as I dare to mention Sol Campbell's name, hundreds of people get straight on the
comments to jump to his defence, but the bloke is seriously unbalanced. He's gone from one of the
best defenders in the country to one of the biggest jokes in a relatively short space of time. I
doubt he'd sign for Arsenal if he could have his time again; it all started going wrong from that
point!
Somewhere between Leeds and Manchester on the M62 I was able to truly digest my four-day jaunt
back to my native land for the third round of the Carling Cup. Working in football in the United
States is a great privilege, and in Seattle the advent of Seattle Sounders FC has been a revelation
for Major League Soccer.
