No, not professional wrestling, but the walls of Bannister Mall. Today was the public demolition
start for the former mall. They started over on the north side of the mall by the old Jone's Store.
Thad over at The Back Post has a write up on it, as well, with some pictures. Here are some
pictures that Thad was able to get of the of the demolition today.
For those that haven't seen it over at The Back Post, Thad has found out that the media have been
invited to the mall tomorrow for some real demolition. Up until this point, they've been doing some
internal demolition, but it looks like we're finally going to see the mall start to go down.
Unfortunately, I will be at work tomorrow and will be unable to make the demolition, but I've been
promised that Thad will have pictures of the event.
It looks like the event today the media are invited to will occur around 1:30 this afternoon at the
mall. You also have this video from NBC Action News about the demolition of the mall, and wouldn't
you know it, they got quotes from two of our friends from the Save Bannister group.
