Second half goals from Natwuti Madyalan & Vivat Sreeyanong gave Port their 13th win in the last 14
games. Despite that, they are still 4 points behind league leaders RBAC going into the weekend
crunch fixture between the top two teams.

At the end of my preview article for the Thai Port vs Al-Qadsia first-leg match, I wrote: "It is
vital that we take a positive result into the second-leg, because from what I've heard about these
kind of games, you don't get much out of the referee in the Middle East". That comment looks
even more pertinent following the AFC's announcement that the match officials for Tuesday's game
are all from Iran, a country separated from Kuwait by 9 miles of Iraqi desert at their closest
point.
Thai Port booked their place in the second round of the Toyota League Cup despite losing 3-1
against Bangkok FC at PAT Stadium. Jakkrit Bunkham opened the scoring from the penalty spot to
increase Port's aggregate advantage over their Division 2 opponents to 4-0. Despite that seemingly
insurmountable deficit, Bangkok FC showed plenty of fighting spirit, scoring 3 goals in 19 second
half minutes to set up tense finish.
Thai Port suffered their second ignominious Toyota League Cup defeat in less than a week, this time
against Roi-Et United of Division 2 North East. The only goal of the game was scored just before
the half-time break by White Squirrels striker Ousmanou Mohamadou.
There can be no excuses for the defeat.
Over 7,000 fans were at PAT Stadium to see Buriram PEA striker Pipat Tonkanya return to Klong Toei
for the first time since leaving Thai Port in 2009. Neither he or anyone else was able to break the
deadlock and Port had to settle for their third consecutive TPL draw at PAT.
Our focus shifts to the AFC Cup on Wednesday as Al-Qadsia from Kuwait travel to Bangkok for the
first leg of the AFC Cup Quarter-Final @ Suphachalasai Stadium - kick off 18:30.
Port's title hopes suffered a major blow as they could only respond to RBAC's 6-1 victory over
Samut Prakan with a 5-5 draw against Navy. In truth, Port did extremely well to take a point after
they found themselves 4-0 down at half-time. Tanakorn Sattanaprasit, Ukrit Taengtung (2) and
Natwuti Madyalan (2) hit back with goals in the second half, but it wasn't enough for the orange &
blues to take all 3 points.

RBAC wrapped up the 2010 Thai Futsal League Championship this morning with an emphatic 10-4 win
over CAT FC. Port Authority's dwindling title hopes effectively came to an end yesterday when they
were thrashed 8-2 by Surat Thani.
Port's season comes to an end next week when they play Bangkok FC @ 'The Mall' in Bang Khae.

After a four month hiatus the Singapore Cup returns today with Tampines Rovers playing Balestier
Khalsa. Teams in bold are Singaporean!
Last years runners up, Bangkok Glass, are involved in the tie of the round against South Melbourne.
In the last round the Thai side absolutely tore apart SAFFC defeating them 5-3 at the once
impregnable fortress (one for any literary/history buffs!
