It's been a torrid season thus far for Singapore. The national team has struggled, even Liverpool
beat them, the Young Lions preperations for the SEA Games are floundering without a recognised goal
scorer and DPMM (from Brunei) won the League Cup.
Last night in the Singapore Cup Thai side TTM Samut Sakhorn defeated DPMM 3-1 in front of 1,506
fans at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

Liverpool have confirmed some of their pre-season commitments ahead of the 2009/10 campaign.
The Reds will kick off with a match against FC St Gallen in Switzerland on July 15, before crossing
the border into Austria to take on Rapid Vienna on July 19.
Rafael Benitez's squad will then embark on their Asian tour which will take in two matches, against
Thailand in Bangkok on July 22 and against Singapore at the Singapore national stadium on July 26.

This story links them with Thai pair Datsakorn and Teerasil even quoting one club official as
suggesting paying Teerasil an unprecedented 500,000 USD a year.

TPL challengers Bangkok Glass came from behind to defeat Cambodian side PPC last night at the Jalan
Besar Stadium in Singapore in front of a crowd that was bigger than any recent SLeague games.
Bangkok Glass' style of play is similar to what we saw by their fellow Thai side - TTM Samut Sakorn
on last Friday.

Bangkok Glass became the second Thai team to reach the semi finals of the Singapore Cup after just
about edging the Cambodians last night. They go through 5-4 on aggregate.
Albirex Niigata defeated Tampines Rovers 1-0 earlier on this evening in the Singapore Cup to level
the tie 1-1. Extra time couldn't split the teams and the Japanese won on penalties to join Bangkok
Glass, TTM Samut Sakorn and Geylang United in the semis.
Yeap, the Singapore Cup semi finals will feature three foreign teams.
Just had the weekend in Bangkok and very happy to return to Jakarta for a rest. Spoke to Chonburi
and Thai keeper Kosin about his forthcoming move to Persib as well as Japan and, well let's just
say everything is not fully done and dusted. The full interview will be on Jakarta Casual TV later

It is being reported locally that Persib hope that Kosin will be in town later this week for the
official club launching.
The last I heard this end was that Thai international keeper Sinthaweechai 'Kosin' Hathairatnkul
was due to arrive in Indonesia at the beginning of this week but that had been put back because he
needed to get a new passport.
Then he would come at the weekend, despite the fact he would be on international duty with Thailand
in the Kata Cup but I guess the mouth wasn't aware of that small matter.

For many fans, this is a surprise. In fact, it is not as Bangkok Glass are "old wine in a new
bottle".
Bangkok Glass were formerly known as Krung Thai Bank, who were disbanded after last season to avoid
legal problems.

Couple of surprises yesterday on a day that could have seen MuangThong United go clear. But they
didn't. Instead, with Bangkok Glass playing today the unbeaten leaders were joined at the top by
Osotsapa abd Chonburi who reverted to winning ways thanks to a brace by Kone.
Was the ref not going to book him? Can you book a 4-year-old? Why didn't the kid in red act like
he was brutally murdered in a Bangkok back alley to draw a booking? What are they teaching these
kids?
A few weeks back I was up in Thailand where I met up with Dale Farrington, an English expat who has
been calling Thailand home for a dozen years now. On the supporter's coach to Bangkok, on our way
to see Thai Port take on Chonburi, we discussed the first half of the Thai Premier League and he
gave his expectations for the second half.
Dirk Kuyt admitted even he was star struck after he warmed up for yesterday's clash with Thailand
by putting local youngsters through their paces in Bangkok.
The Reds striker was joined by new club ambassador Kenny Dalglish for the adidas sports clinic held

Liverpool youngster Dani Pacheco has declared that the club's pre-season in Bangkok and Singapore
left him wanting to make an appearance at Anfield.

Liverpool's Spanish striker Fernando Torres looks set to face a busy summer of football with little
time for a summer break, after the Merseyside club announced plans to tour Thailand in July.
Torres is already set to play for Spain in the Confederations Cup in South Africa in June and may
now have to report back to Liverpool shortly afterwards as the club plan to travel to Asia for a
pre-season tour.
