Today there has been lots of scuttlebutt concerning MLS coming to the Twin Cities and sharing a new
stadium with the Minnesota Vikings. The Minneapolis Star Tribune ran a story today.
dN
I live in Minneapolis, so let me shed some light on this story:
The owner of the Vikings is a liar.
The big news today is there's quite a bit of hubbub over Wenger's refusal to shake Mark Hughes'
hand after yesterday's 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.
Predictably, the media has been quick to jump on the bandwagon criticizing Wenger for being
"disrespectful" and a "sore loser." On the sore loser point, I'm sure that losing had something to
do with it he probably would have been more magnanimous if Arsenal had won.
Valencia-Real Madrid
Can you get any hotter then Valencia has been over the last few months? The squad has won
three matches in a row and has an unbeaten streak that spans over six weeks of football. The
powerhouse squad has climbed into third place and with a win this weekend over the second best
squad they will have many more La Liga fans hopping onto the bandwagon.
Roll up, one and all. Tickets are now available for the Tottenham Hotspur bandwagon, which rolls
into town once again on Saturday. Come the final whistle against Wolves we can all get a little too
carried away once again, on a wave of euphoria/doom (delete as appropriate). The only
question regards the direction in which we head.
Here are our three players to watch well in fact to sign to see you through the Christmas
period. As ever, we make no promises that this will turn out well. And we appreciate the lack of
imagination that seemingly lies behind these picks; but points mean prizes...
1. Andrei Arshavin
Over the next four gameweeks (assuming you play the FPL and are familiar with that parlance)
Arsenal play Burnley, Hull, Villa and then joy of joys have a double header, with Portsmouth and
Bolton both on the week's menu.
Yes ITS have jumped on the look-a-likey bandwagon. Here for the first and probably the
last time. (I'm sure that beyond this article our eye for 'similar looking' people will have worn
thin).
For those who don't know Wayne Coyne, he is the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and bassist of
the Flaming Lips.
2009 Recap: RSL once again made a late playoff surge to steal another team's
spot in the Big Dance. They also reached the Conference Finals once again (though this time they
were oddly in the East). After they reached their first MLS Cup Final, Kyle Beckerman and crew
hoisted their first hardware after beating LA in a memorable shootout.
