Josh Hamilton was sick. Literally. Saturday night against the Toronto Blue Jays, Hamilton needed
oxygen and an IV after the game. Despite not feeling well, the slugger for the Texas Rangers was a
hero yet again.
With the Rangers down by a run in the 13th inning, Hamilton hit a two-run homer to give the

For only the 16th time in baseball history, a player has hit four home runs in one game. That
player was Josh Hamilton of the Texas Rangers, who did it Tuesday night against the Baltimore
Orioles. All four of Hamilton's homers were two-run shots.
Said Hamilton after the game: "Obviously it's, other than being in the World Series, the
highlight of my big-league career.

This is Rich here. I only clarify because I'm going to mention baseball. I am the
British one, I just like baseball.
Growing up I played a lot of sport. Football was great but I had a nasty habit of falling apart
mentally in school matches (besides myself I more or less half-blame a single teacher for this and
were I to meet him today I would certainly consider pouring boiling custard on his pathetic
head).
The Boston Red Sox completed their choke. In their final game of the year, the Red Sox blew a
ninth inning lead against the Baltimore Orioles. Leading 3-2 heading into the ninth, the Orioles
pulled out a 4-3 victory.
Now the Red Sox play the waiting game. If the Tampa Bay Rays beat the New York Yankees, the Rays
make the playoffs.

This is getting hard to watch. The Boston Red Sox are choking to death and are on the brink of
blowing a huge lead in the AL Wild Card race. After losing to the Baltimore Orioles on Monday, the
Red Sox are now tied with the Tampa Bay Rays.
Not surprisingly, poor starting pitching was the main reason for the latest Red Sox loss.

This time of year, the Pittsburgh Pirates are usually selling off their good players to bolster
the rosters of playoff teams. This year, a funny thing happened on the way to the baseball trade
deadline. The Pirates are a playoff contender and they're acting like it.

When physically and mentally healthy, Justin Duchscherer is a heck of a pitcher. In fact, he's
been named to the All-Star team twice in his career. However, being healthy hasn't been a small
task for the talented hurler. The Baltimore Orioles decided to bet on his health by signing
Duchscherer to a one-year deal worth as much as $4.
