On top of having a lot of success as a player and coach in his native England, Gordon is also one of the most important people in American soccer over the years. Soccer America recently published an article on Gordon, which reminded me of him and led me to reach out to him for an interview.

One advantage of having both teams here from the same club is the support each team gives to the other, evidenced by the Baltimore Bays Chelsea U-15/16 team watching the older guys play against the Concorde Fire yesterday. They were cheering, banging the signboards, anything they could think of to keep up the Bays' energy level.
