According to the Whitecaps website the TOA League is now 11 teams strong!
The addition of Tampa Bay and Baltimore brings the new league to nine teams, as they
join the owners of the Atlanta Silverbacks, Carolina RailHawks, Miami FC, Minnesota Thunder,
Montreal Impact, St. Louis Soccer United and Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
The City of Baltimore has shown interest in a stadium for United. At this point I know United
would like to keep the team close to downtown Washington, but at this point the need of a stadium
outweighs any other options. The fact that United has had many failed attempts for a stadium, I
don't think anyone will be holding their breathe on this one.

Talk about a potential shocker. Baltimore's mayor has sent a letter to the Maryland Stadium
Authority to look into possibly building a soccer stadium for DC United.
The city became a bit more interested in the project after this summer's soccer tour that saw a
game at the 71,000-seat M&T Bank Stadium for AC Milan and Chelsea.

I guess some would look at this as a continuation of the war of press releases between the
United Soccer Leagues and the Team Owners Association, but nonetheless it's still news.
According to the press release the USL First Division will move forward next year without the
member clubs of the TOA, though Tampa seems to be on-board with the USL despite flirting with TOA
over the last few months.
