Man City players – except spoilsport Mario Balotelli – wore fancy dress costumes for their
Christmas party in Manchester last night. The theme? Spots. No idea why. It's difficult to say
which City star looks like the biggest twat here – Joe Hart does wear it well, but Gareth Barry
is very "gay Luigi".
Sorry we're late to this.
This past weekend Heart Attack Ray Hudson issued an opine (2nd video) on Lionel Messi during
Barcelona's 5-1 thrashing of Espanyol....and recommended a little YouTube ditty on the star from
Catalan country (1st video) showcasing Messi's refusal to go down.
We would be remiss not to give Messi and Ray Hudson their just due, especially after we
witnessed Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli yesterday seemingly get blown over by the wind on
multiple occasions.
Two award ceremonies, two players, two very different reactions...
Mario Balotelli after being presented with the Golden Boy trophy, organised by
the Turin newspaper Tuttosport and voted for by European journalists to honour the most talented
footballer under the age of 21.
Eric Lichaj did well against Bale, but stunk up the joint against City.
We tuned into the Man City v Aston Villa match for one reason today, to watch Villa's American
right back Eric Lichaj. The 22 yr old was impressive in shutting down Gareth Bale in their loss to
Spurs two days ago, and we though maybe he could replicate the performance today.

Man City beat Red Bull Salzburg easily at Eastlands last night. The match was lit up by this
superb goal from tricksy winger Adam Johnson:
Sweet goal by one of the few English players with the self-confidence and skill to beat a man.
Oh, and Mario Balotelli scored twice, which has to be a good thing if it stops the Italian bitching
for a week or two.
Didn't take long, did it? Mario Balotelli and Jerome Boateng had a fight in training today when
the Italian striker reacted badly to a tackle from the German defender.
This is how it feels to be City series

http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/clubfootball/news/newsid=1350615.html So Tevez hands in a
transfer request, which is rejected. But he states that he needs time to think (now?) and it
doesn't seem as if he will be available next week when City host Everton. I know we are all feeling
a bit burned after Balotelli's -2 yesterday.
Carlos Tevez returns to training, talks set for Friday - ESPN SoccernetTevez is one of a number of
senior players to be rested [for Thursday's Europa League match against Juventus], although Mancini
has already indicated that former Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli will travel, even though he
was racially abused by some Juventus fans last season.
The west coast excursion continues with a stop in at Brent's Deli (to sample their take on
pastrami. Being from New York, we'll stick with Katz's), where lunchtime gave us a chance to check
out David Moyes' men away at the Eastlands. Early goals from Tim Cahil – off his head, as if he
scores any other way – and left back Leighton Baines got the toffees off to a flying start.

Far be it from me to brand Manchester City upstart Mario Balotelli as being
utterly myopic, self-centred, self-interested, alienating, egotistical, petulant, ridiculously
immature, head-strong, off-puttingly pugnacious, cripplingly arrogant, impudent, unloyal?
As it was the case with Patrice Evra before the Manchester United game, Arsenal manager Arsene
Wenger opted for a diplomatic approach in replying to Nani and Mario Balotelli. In his pre-Chelsea
press-conference, the manager was ...
A Mario Balotelli hat-trick has seen Manchester City to the summit of
the EPL if only for a few hours ahead of Neighbours Manchester United's trip to Birmingham

game.

"Shoryuken!"
According to the Manchester Evening News, the charming man-cub that lycanthropic coach
Roberto Mancini found abandoned in a woodland clearing and raised himself,
Mario Balotelli, had to be forcibly separated from Manchester City teammate
Jerome Boateng when the two began scrapping during a training session
yesterday.

According to Sky Sports News, Manchester City striker Mario
Balotelli will not be leaving the club despite being linked with AC
Milan. His agent Mino Raiola said on Telelombardia,
"Balotelli went to City and will remain there for several years.
Manchester City has a patchy history of rising and falling through the leagues and their past
looks even more disastrous compared to their neighbour United.
But those days looked numbered particularly with Roberto Mancini's side looking the most
equipped to challenge the big three in England.
Roughly six weeks ago there was a rumor circulating that Zinedine Zidane and Marco Materazzi
actually, inexplicably, unthinkably kissed and made up. The world was stunned, trees started
drifting towards Europe and suddenly the world's female population became ever so briefly
barren.

As we near the January transfer window, it's interesting to view how the summer's big money moves
have settled in at their new clubs. The top five signings from the summer; David Silva, Mario
Balotelli, Ramires, Aleksander Kolarov and Asamoah Gyan have experienced mixed starts in their
debut Premier League seasons.

Antonio Cassano will become a Milan player on 3 January 2011 after the rossoneri
reached an agreement with Sampdoria to pay Real Madrid half of his €5 million buy-out clause.
Samp will pay Madrid the other half of Cassano's contract – that's how badly they wanted to get
rid of him.
Earlier this week Tuttosport's prestigious Golden Boy award was given out to
supposedly the best young player in Europe. Mario Balotelli scooped the prize, which is voted on
by journalists from across Europe to recognise the most talented under-21 player on the continent,
beating Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere who came in a close second place.
Super hat Mario Snoods are so last week. Glove hats are where it's at. Manchester City striker
Mario Balotelli was sporting this monstrosity as he arrived at Eastlands for last night's clash
with Everton. It's quite a look, we are sure you will agree. We would suggest you ask for one in
your Christmas stocking, [.
Mario Balotelli was named the winner of the Tuttosport Golden Boy trophy earlier today,
and speaking to Tuttosport he revealed that he has no idea who Arsenal wonderkid Jack
Wilshere is. The Italian went on to say that he'll be looking out for this Wilshere character the
next time City meets Arsenal.
The recent snowfall makes corner kicks a bit difficult. It's nothing compared to this corner
though.

Good morning, more snow again yesterday but good news everyone! It's only -8 this morning. Bad
news though, I seem to have some kind of cold. Dennis giveth, Dennis taketh away.
Further to yesterday's blog about Nicklas Bendtner The Mirror reports on a cheeky Lazio bid to
bring him in on loan in January while The Sun says 'pfffshaw, Bendtner's going nowhere'.
Citeh bad boy is Golden Boy It's been a week for awkward award acceptances. Following Dimitar
Berbatov's don't vote for me again plea, Mario Balotelli has managed to make an idiot of himself as
he was awarded the Golden Boy award for the best Under-21 player in Europe by Italian newspaper
Tuttosport.
Mario lacking "strength and heart" Roberto Mancini has dropped striker Mario Balotelli for
Manchester City's Boxing Day clash with Newcastle for lacking festive spirit. The miserable Italian
has put in a couple of grumpy performances in recent weeks, so Mancini has benched the youngster
until he learns how to smile.

It may not last long, with Manchester United visiting Birmingham this evening, but for now, Man
City fans can look at the Premier League table and see something that might have seemed impossible

including two penalties, and Joleon Lescott added another to demolish Aston Villa today, 4-0.
MANCHESTER, England — Mario Balotelli scored a hat-trick as Manchester City maintained their
