The Rapids return to Colorado today after not such a successful run out in the Arizona sun. Of the
three games played against MLS teams, two were drawn and there was a 2-0 defeat at the hands of LA
Galaxy. Hopefully, the trip helped Gary Smith solidify his thoughts on what to do come March 1 and
the need to trim his roster down to its fighting weight of 24 players.
The Rapids have announced a trade with last week's opponents the NY Red Bulls. They left Ballouchy
in NY and brought back Macoumba Kandji. Kandji is a 25-year old forward from Senegal who's spent
some time playing on the wing as well. He was signed by NY 2 years ago tomorrow from the Atlanta
USL team, and since then has made 41 appearances for RBNY, with 30 starts, 6 goals, and 7 assists.

Well, our local team, the New York Red Bulls, have gone crashing out of the MLS playoffs even
with the likes of Rafa Márquez and Theirry Henry on the roster. To be fair, Henry was injured and
only came on in the last 5 minutes, when he mishit a ball lofted gently to his head whilst unmarked
inside the six yard box.
