Balloon Bollocks

LFC News | Liverpool Football Club News 17 October @ 05:08 PM EST
This has got nothing to do with Balloons, beach balls or Stevie & Nando's international duty injuries. I really do wish it were that simple. What we are sadly contending with here is a crisis. It's an overused tag to be sure yet the word crisis, in this instance, I do feel obligated to use. As [...] Click to continue reading...

No, Thank YOU!

The Offside - LA Galaxy 15 October @ 09:21 AM EST

What a game! Except for the nail-biting after going down 2 goals to none in the first half, that was an incredible match! I printed my number 9 (and mounted it on poster board because I'm anal crafty like that) and held it up with the crowd. The stadium went absolutely berserk when we scored in the 95th minute, especially since we couldn't see the extra time remaining.

Blargins Injury Time 14 July @ 02:15 PM EST

Special post today, as I attended my first ever Tour de France stage. This was to be the tenth stage of the 2009 Tour de France and covered 194.5km from Limoges to Issoudun in Indre, about 50kms from where I live. I have driven this route before and by car, takes a good couple of hours to do.

The programme suggested getting into position at around 3pm as this was the expected time of arrival of the riders.

Futbolita 26 June @ 03:04 AM EST

Is that Felipão's long lost brother from Estudiantes? Those balloons look lovely on him, by the way! At least El Loco over there came prepared to celebrate his team's 1-0 victory over Nacional in the first leg of their Copa Libertadores semi-final tie last night.

GIF It: Sir Alex Ferguson misses his bus

Off the Post 01 May @ 03:10 AM EST
Fergie's rage over speeding driver A reworking of an OTP favourite. This time there are no balloons involved, but Sir Alex Ferguson is pretty mad when the bus fails to stop for him. Of course, some would say that if Fergie is happy to use the bus route running through Wembley Stadium then he can't really complain [. Click to continue reading...

They came for Ugarte and then she walks in: Kpene/Ngwenya and Caig/Soutar

Nutmegged 07 May @ 01:29 PM EST
There's a line there at the beginning, "First they came for Ugarte and then she walks in. Well, that's the way it goes, one in and one out." (The balloon version I included above because it just cracked me up. Nothing like a little absurdism when your team is winless six weeks into the season, I always say. Click to continue reading...
