The balls have barely been pulled out of the glass bowls... but we're already delivering some
immediate reaction from today's star-studded draw in Cape Town for the 2010 World
Cup. Sepp Blatter and football fans alike should be very pleased: there are going
to be some mouth-watering encounters at next summer's tournament – England v
USA, Brazil v Ivory Coast and Germany v Ghana to name
a few.
Today Chelsea have confirmed the worst possible news for the short term, that Michael Essien will
be out for three to four weeks after tearing his hamstring. This is sad news for Michael first of
all with the African Nations cup on the horizon in January, but for us Chelsea fans its a major
blow as we look to get our form back on track starting this weekend against Everton.
Well that was unexpected wasn't it! In my preview of the game tonight I honestly couldn't see us
losing the game so as Kakuta took the final pen and it was saved by Robinson I was gutted like the
rest of you!. I am sitting here with a feeling of one that got away as far as the League Cup is
concerned.
Well that was another two points dropped yesterday in our pursuit of the Premier League title and
luckily enough Villa did us a favour and beat Man United, which stretches our lead at the top of
the League to three points. Again, it was a chance to increase our lead at the top but our
