Whatever you do boys, don't look down! The JimmyG2 Column I sometimes think of Spurs as one of those cartoon characters who, during a hot pursuit , run straight over the edge of the precipice and keep on running. They're fine as long as they don't look down. Then of course they suddenly realise how high up they are with nothing beneath them and though the legs keep whirring down they plunge.

'You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimes.. you get what you need.' Harry has sought advice from Mick Jagger to soothe the ruffled feathers of Spurs fans pining for 'Marquee' signings. The words above proved prophetic when Gallas came in and more recently with the arrival of Friedel and Parker which made even this Spurs diehard eat his words.

That Tottenham, can they do it? Contenders? Say no more. The JimmyG2 Column. It's getting deucedly difficult to write about Spurs these days. We've had it easy for years: missed opportunities; failures to close games out; last ditch losses; individual poor performances; lack of winning mentality; Jenas.

Just what the doctor ordered.

Anyone seen my team? They were with me when I got off the bus. The JimmyG2 Column I assume that there must be better feelings the day after Spurs gave Villa the run-around to slip past Chelsea and Newcastle to go third.

Man. Utd: Tottenham: Hearts We look down on them but we look up to them So now we are down in the relegation places and bottom of the league purely on merit. The team we played last night is top and the team we play on Sunday are second: so the heat is on. Two games played and some light shed on the shape of our season.

Looking through the transfer window.

Looks like the windows could do with a clean Get your panic in early before prices rise has always been my motto as a hardened Tottenham fan. But it does seem to me that this season is taking on a make or break aspect which makes the transfer window even more crucial than usual. Of course every season has the capacity to be a desperate plunge into the depths of a relegation fight or a rocket

A star studded occasion for the JimmyG2 2010/2011 awards.A hint here that we might go three at the back next season. I wasn't going to bother but a slew of e-mails, twitters, (or is it tweets?) even the odd telegram delivered by a young lad on a red bicycle, or perhaps I dream't that in another life, have convinced me that this an obligation on all bloggers.

Will the real idiots please stand up. Welcome friends to this the inaugural meeting of the newly formed International Division (of the ) Imbecilic Outraged Tottenham Supporters (or I.D.I.O.T.S as it is more informally known.) This organisation was set up under the initiative of our current manager Mr.

It's only Rock and Roll, but I like it 'Come back Harry: all is forgiven'. So Harry is restored to Rock and Roll Hero after all.Well not quite, but two wins in twelve is better than one win in eleven in the Premiership. When it ends a fifteen year winless run at Anfield it is even more welcome. According to Spurs Odyssey it was only the fifth time in a hundred years.

Scary rumour No1. First of a series.Come out Gareth. I'ts all right, he'll be on our side. Against Charlton we avoided an obvious banana skin without too much trouble, although it needed the creativity of Modric to light our path. The pairing of Sandro and Palacios seemed a bit heavy handed for the likes of Charlton but once the little maestro came on for Palacios we scored three within 15
