It's no secret that the Houston Dynamo have been patiently scouting Mexican soccer players and have
had their eyes on one player in particular, Luis Angel Landin. After making a failed attempt to
acquire Landin from Monarca Morelia this past winter, it appears that persistance has paid off and
the Dynamo are on the verge of acquiring the 26 year old striker who has been on loan to Cruz Azul.
Grab your 40's and pour some out for Mareclo Balboa's long, luxurious locks as they are going to
soccer hair heaven. Who will take over as Lord & Ruler of American soccer's Realm of Adventurous
Hairstyles? Who knows but a dance-off between Gino Padula and Frankie Hejduk for the throne is
looking more and more likely though.

I'm going to dispense with my standard recap of the 3-1 loss in DC. Just assume it was crap and
move on. Instead here's just some extended thoughts on what I saw.
Hoy juegan Limeño-FAS y Marte-Alianza.
Barcelona may get plenty of recognition for 'La Masia', the youth set-up at Barca that continues to
churn out some outstanding young talent, most recently
Pedro and Jeffren, but
today 'AS' reported the amazing statistic that there are 107 players playing professional football
across Europe that were nutured in 'La Fábrica' at
Real Madrid.
