Ronaldo brace sinks Santos
Two fabulous strikes from Ronaldo and a free kick from Chicão have put Corinthians firmly in
the driving seat in the finals of the Campeonato Paulista.
Santos had the bulk of the opportunities in front of around 17,000 of their own fans but failed
to capitalize and paid the price against a side which has specialized in hitting teams on the
break.
Fernandão celebrates against Corinthians
On Saturday, just two points separated the top three sides in the Brasileiro. But even though
Palmeiras were not in action, they stayed top after Internacional lost away at Vitória and São
Paulo were held away at strugglers Santo André. Now just three points separate the top five.

The English and Italian giants have been told that if they want the young midfielder then Athletic
Club will not listen to any offers below the amount specified in his buy-out clause.
Javi Martinez is not for sale and the only way that Liverpool or Fiorentina are going to prise him
away from Athletic Bilbao is if they meet his huge buy-out clause, the player's agent has stated.
This blog neglected for too long the Brazilian second division. And this is a shame. The second
division in 2009 has a giant (Vasco), former Brazilian champions (Guarani and Bahia), former
Brasileiro runner's up (Sao Caetano, Bragantino and Portuguesa) and many other traditional sides
that played the first division for many years (Figueirense, Parana, Fortaleza, Juventude, Ponte
Preta).
The 24th round of Campeonato Brasileiro was all Sao Paulo's.
Sao Paulo received the surprisingly good side of Avai at Morumbi. In the first-half, Avai made
things difficult for Sao Paulo, as the home team offered loose defensive action in the midfield. In
the second-half, however, Sao Paulo decided to suffocate the visitors.
... the ball boy gets himself in a fight with the players on the pitch AND makes fun of fact

... the goalie makes fool of himself, loses the ball and the forward manages to miss the easiest
goal of the year. It happened in the match Brasiliense 0 0 America-RN:
Inter must put aside their dramatic win against Flamengo and focus on the Campeonato
Brasileiro once again, as Inter travel to central Brazil to face Goiás (18:30 local
time).
Inter arrived in the state capital Goiânia yesterday without Nilmar, Álvaro, D'Alessandro and
Kléber as Tite plans are making changes throughout the side to keep players fresh for next
Wednesday's Copa do Brasil semi final with Coritiba.
Contrary to popular belief, The Dinho is not doing Ladies Night at the
Discoteca Hollywood anymore. Naturalmente, as pessoas! Everyone's headed home for
the Natal holidays but as usual, the Rossoneri always seem to have the worst
schedules.
Esporte Clube Vitória, usually called just Vitória, is a Brazilian football team from Salvador in
Bahia. The club currently campaigns in the top tier of Brazilian soccer the Campeonato Brasileiro
Série A. Vitoria finished the recently concluded 2009 Brasileiro in 13th place. Yesterday, players
Arthur Maia and Alan Henrique presented the Vitoria Penalty 2010 home [.
