with a touch of cup action in England, and the rest of the world getting on with earning points. As
you may know, faithful readers, we tend to look to the Soccer Insider for our weekend tv listings,
but seeing as so many of us watch matches through variously legal web outlets, we thought of
expanding the list a bit this week.
Not every day the Northern Irish league is in the spotlight, but was there a more audacious
strike in 2010 than this effort by Glentoran's Matty Burrows, which looks better on each
viewing...
Burrows' strike makes it to the ten best goals of the year chosen by FIFA, along with usual
suspects Messi, Neymar & Robben, plus Bafana Bafana's opening strike of the World Cup Finals:
* Here's one they missed, from Andrea Pirlo, as the Parma defence obligingly opens up.

The 2010 World Cup was heralded as the dawn of a new era in South African football. This new epoch

Bafana Bafana vs Kenya is going to be one of those matches where the boys are quick out of the
starting block according to coach Pitso Mosimane.
The encounter against the Harambee Stars will be the coach's last chance to see his team in
competitive action ahead of next month's crucial African Nations Cup qualifier with Egypt.
Vuvuzela South Africa is back after an agonizing four months "off the air" we are up and running
just in time to blow our vuvuzelas for the boys when they run onto the pitch against Egypt.
Our new coach, Pitso Mosimane seems to be doing us proud and has taken Bafana Bafana up the Fifa
Coca Cola World Rankings, where South Africa now at No 38 and molving up.

The Bafana Bafana vs Egypt match will be live on SABC on Sunday 5 June at 8.30 pm.
That is good news because the Boys need to know that all their fans are watching and cheering

Last week when Sporting KC announced that 5 players would be representing their respective national
teams in games this coming weekend, one name was absent from the list of players, Sierra Leone
striker, Kei Kamara. Sierra Leone play a must win qualifier in South Africa against the Bafana
Bafana on Saturday.
Kei Kamara and the Leone Stars pulled out a draw in South Africa against the Bafana Bafana, but the
point was not enough to see them through to the African Cup of Nations. Sierra Leone needed a win
and a Niger loss to qualify for the tournament for the first time since 1996, but couldn't find the
net.
Wayne Rooney is writing to UEFA in hopes of keeping his one-game ban in the European
championship from being extended.
Rooney was sent off in England's draw with Montenegro for an unnecessary kick to Miodrag
Dzudovic, and it's up to UEFA to judge whether the automatic suspension should be increased to
three matches for violent conduct.
