Rufus Brevett talks to Jonathan Jurejko
Rufus Brevett is one of Rovers' youth system's most successful finds - spending much of his
post-Belle Vue career in the Premier League. After joining Rovers from school he made his debut as
a 17-year-old in 1987 and played 118 times for the club before joining QPR in the top flight in a
big money move four years later.
Yes folks, it's silly season once again as the Premier League's graphic designers get to work on
some new imagery that will hopefully provide a smokescreen over any recent poor performances.
This week, we can unveil for you the new Wigan Athletic badge... voila!!
It's a redesign of a badge we featured on one of our old Friday Lists of Little or No Consequence
back in June 2007 and was worn by Wigan during the 1970's and 80's.

So Tuesday night I happened to catch a smattering of the 'Fox Soccer Report' and heard Jeremy St.
Louis mentioning something about Roy Keane completing 230 hours of "course work" to
receive his proper UEFA coaching badges. Ah herm? This is likely an inherent difference between
American sports and the rest of the world.

today's blog comes to you with a slight midweek *boilk* as it was Blogette's birthday last
night. She's 17 now. This is not good. It's much easier to own a 10 year old or a 14 year old. 17
year olds think they have rights and want to be treated like an adult and stuff.
This is staggering. LeighGenesis? What?! How many people will come to watch the team because
it's not Leigh RMI anymore, but LeighGenesis? How many people will stay away because of the
change? By all means have a rethink about kits, badges, etc - sometimes you do have to move
on - but LeighFuggingGenesis?
