Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed that the £80m that Real Madrid paid us for Cristiano Ronaldo was
a bargain. He has finally won the league with them this season, having won just one trophy in his
first two years in Madrid.
Ronaldo has scored 145 goals in 143 games for Real Madrid (33 in 35 in the first year, 53 in 54
in his second and 59 in 54 this season), leading the manager to believe we could have charged a lot
more with hindsight.
I'm opening this with the following statement:
This is an editorial piece containing my opinions about the Brian Ching situation. I do not have
factual evidence to support my points, I'm simply making educated assumptions based on the
information we've actually seen. That said, I'm sure I'll get some reactions from people who don't
make it past the headline before jumping to a conclusion.
On the heels of the news that Samir Nasri has asked not to be included in the squad comes the
even grimmer one of Jack Wilshere being declared unfit for the crucial Udinese second leg
playoffs.
Nasri's request comes after Roberto Mancini expressed his concern he would consider pulling the
plug on a transfer deal if the French midfielder was made cup tied.
Samir, your manager needs you. Do the right thing.
Roberto Mancini has threatened to pull the plug on the Samir Nasri transfer deal because Arsene
Wenger could cup tie the French midfielder if he is featured in the Udinese second leg
playoffs.
Wenger has made clear he expects Nasri to be ready to play which if it should happen will render
him ineligible to play for City in the CL should the transfer go through.
Over the years we have continually maintained the value of a good shopping experience at both
the league stores and individual team stores online. These stores represent an ongoing point of
contact between the teams and their fans, and the goods they sell become walking advertisements for
the franchises they signify.
Seemed to have decided where he will sit during the twilight of his career
It's been a little more than a week since my last post. You have to excuse me. We are already in
the post season. There's no Arsenal games to piqued the interest or the blogger in me. Yet, with
the amount of news that has been going about, one would think that we are still the middle of the
season.
Apologies for being a bit M.I.A over the last week. Here's a scarily efficient round-up of the
events we may have missed:
Steven Pienaar
Say what you like about whether we need him or not - he cost £3 million, for goodness sake. We
could sign him twice and it'd still be a good deal.
