Yet again, Arsenal midfielder Alex Song not only helped his team with his strength and
determination in midfield but also by finding the back of the net. On target against Chelsea on
Monday, the Cameroon International ...
The last time the mighty Whites beat Blackburn? 2006. El Hadji Diouf and Big Sam were still on
our sidelines. Good news though as Stuart Holden made his return after two weeks out with a thigh
problem. It's incredible how the 25 year old American has become our quietly brilliant midfield
general in such a short amount of time and, in turn, how lost the midfield was without him.

KATHMANDU, DEC 21 -
Raj Kumar Ghising and Buddha Chemjong scored a goal each to give Nabil Three Star Club's (NTSC) a
2-0 win over Friends Club and secure a berth in the semi-finals of the British Gurkha Cup at the
Dashrath Stadium on Tuesday.
As 2010 draws to a close, many defining moments helped make this year memorable for the U.S. MNT
and its fans. Countless goals, assists and saves were recorded, but it was one play in particular
that captured the world's attention: Landon Donovan's goal in extra time against Algeria in the
2010 FIFA World Cup.
Goias Esporte Clube, recently relegated from the Brazilian top flight, look set to win their
first continental title after defeating Argentinian side Independiente 2-0 in the first leg of the
Copa Sudamericana final last night.
Both goals came in the first 20 minutes of the match as Rafael Moura and Neto found the back of
the net to gift the modest Brazilian outfit a comfortable advantage to defend in next week's second
leg in Argentina.
Liverpool won Group K of the Europa League with a 1-1 away draw with Steau Bucharest tonight.
Roy Hodgson opted to give youth its chance again in this competition, they did enough to garner a
commendable point in Romania.
Milan Jovanovic scored a very impressive headed goal on 19 mins following a lovely cross by the
enigmatic Ryan Babel.
It's that kind of video again. Forty-year-old FC Twente goalkeeper Sander Boschker lets a
stoppable ball roll into the back of the net. Unlike many of the other goalkeepers who have failed
to completely stop easy shots on goal due to their early egotistical celebrations, this mistake can
be blamed on the bumpy field.
From the Comets
Leading for three straight periods is hard. Holding onto a lead after three periods proved even
harder for the Comets as they fell 13-12 to the Baltimore Blast at First Mariner Arena.
Baltimore struck first on a re-start goal by Adauto Neto early in the
first quarter.
The Serie A is getting more and more exciting, especially after these recent results, and the
matches which will be played this Sunday. Napoli got an important 1-0 win away against Genoa,
Palermo came back to beat Parma 3-1 at the Renzo Barbera, and Udinese also completed a comeback win
at home, 2-1 over Fiorentina.
I am getting the impression that alot of Chelsea fans do not rate Mikel judging posts and opinions
being put on here today and in the past and I have to say I am slightly shocked by it.
A regular poster on here compared him to Claude Makelele and I have to say that's harsh to be
honest.
Manchester United will be defending their unbeaten record against the league leaders, in a match
that could see United move to the top of the table with a game in hand.
The Gunners have a number of weapons in their Arsenal, but none more dangerous than Samir Nasri
at the moment. Nasri has led Arsenal to the top of the table, scoring key goals and giving the
Gunners some hope "after Cesc" if the Spaniard does decide to head back to his youth club.
This season there's been a dramatic change in the mentality of North London's fiercest rivals.
In the past, Tottenham Hotspur was always the underachievers, the club who promised so much in the
big matches but always flattered to deceive. And now with Tottenham's resurgence under Harry
Redknapp this season where they have beaten the likes of Inter Milan, Arsenal and came within a
whisker of defeating Chelsea.
What is it about the Premier League which makes it so much more exciting than other leagues? And
what is it about those Premier League broadcasts on ESPN that make them more exciting than similar
matches on Fox Soccer Channel?
For ESPN, maybe it's the fact that the games are shown in HD (I'm still annoyed that my local
cable provider, Comcast, hasn't made Fox Soccer Channel HD available in my area)?

A lot of FC Dallas players found the back of the net this season, but most of that build up is
the result of David Ferreira

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Soony Saad scored in the first half and Jack McInerney added
a goal early in the second to give the United States U-20 national team a 2-0 victory over Canada
in a friendly at Lynn University on Thursday.
After Inter defeated Seongnam Ilhwa 3-0 in the semi-final, it seemed like Rafa Benitez's team was
beginning to get into it's stride. The display in the final against TP Mazembe was amazing, with
Inter Milan scoring three well worked goals.
The first half was torture for the African champions.

Well i must admit this match had me nervous.
Real Sociedad at home are a tough team to beat.
And we havent exactly inspired alot of confidence on the pitch lately either.
You can only imagine my mood when our boys went down a goal early due to a penalty by David
Navarro.
I wasnt that hopefull.
Seems about time for another 'remember what was, what could've been' Ronaldinho
YouTuber.
The biggest transfer news of the summer was, once Xavi and Gerard Pique failed to pry Cesc from
Arsenal with kind words and birth records, the move of Zlatan to Milan. A transfer which has
produced substantial fruit in the form of a position atop the table.
It's a Christmas miracle! Our boys did it. With all the pressure and expectation, they went out
there and beat Chelsea. It was probably our best 90 minutes this season if you look at our
consistency and overall play during the match. With the help of some personnel changes, including
the beast I call Theo van Nasregas, the players stepped up, worked their socks off, and pulled off
the win we all knew they were capable of getting.
Looking at the fixture list prior to the start of the season, a loss to Chelsea was always kind of
expected. Who could see a team like Bolton Wanderers FC beating the Premier League champions away?
Going on that alone, the loss should not have been that frustrating. Recent form says
otherwise.
